The game is NOT unplayable, it plays quite fine, yes it has some bugs, always has and always will. If YOU believe the game is "incomplete and thus not playable", then just cancel. You need to have a lot of patience and understand to enjoy MMOs, they are not instant gratification games, there will be a lot of bugs along the way, some things may take a while to be fixed, it happens in ALL MMOs. If the game was truly that unplayable, they would take the servers down and give people free playtime. Yes there are some things that are screwed up with Trinity, but guess what? IT WAS FREE! Beyond that if you truly believe the game is so miserably broken now, then just leave and come back in a few months to see how its going.

And I'm talking about the ACTUAL PATCH* and not the PREMIUM CONTENT which is NOT MANDATORY to play the game. So stop complaining about the Premium Content. None force you to install it. Regarding the Premium Content upgrade. Thank CCP that is free and you don't have to pay for it, as in EVERY OTHER MMORPG. As for the other issues, except the few dozen people really being hit by the boot.ini problem, they are minor and are based on software installed on your computers. I know quite a few friends who have multiple crashes, flickering screens, bad fps. It's on their systems and all of them belong to one of the categories : a) Pirate copies of windows, not updated for years. b) Hardware that barely supports the new engine. Nvidia 6800 is bare minimum. You need Nvidia 7600/8600 or Ati X1900+, Dual Core and 2GB RAM to properly play with the PREMIUM CONTENT not MANDATORY. c) Drivers for all hardware. (A lot of people fall on this category). *I haven't see SirMolle or other serious people who have being hit badly by this bug. Only minors who troll for the sake of it.

Yes but people don't talk about suing the newspaper company because their paper showed up wet or ripped. Defending CCP or any other gaming company had very little to with it. People need to understand that MMOs are different then buying an FRP or RTS game. The quality will just not be the same. I don't care what game it is and who runs it, there is always something wrong with an MMO. The simple fact here is if you don't like this MMO anymore for whatever reason, then don't play it. Most game devs glaze over people screaming and yelling on their forums. Where they REALLY start to notice is when subscriptions drop.

NOT True The boot.ini thing happened because of an OPTIONAL PATCH, the classic patch did not cause the problem. Do people who installed the OPTIONAL Premium patch and actually had it cause their PC to crash and not boot anymore have a right to be upset? Hell Yes! But claiming the game is not playable is false. It is very playable, and quite a lot of people are playing with little or no issue.

But I'd just save my data and reinstall windows (heck I do that once a year anyways). The potential for a system failure is possible with any piece of software or patch.

But the other group is just as bad, pretending the game and the patch are perfectly fine and wonderfull, cmon, lets be honest here, releasing a patch that deletes ur boot.ini file can hardly be called perfectly fine and wonderfull, but thats not the point i want to make here, just stop pretending it is all good and dandy, it is not and it will never be so because thats just how it is in EVE. Me personally i think as usual there are good and bad things in this patch, i love a lot of the new features and the graphics did look nice, but the purtier graphics come at a cost, people should realize that before whining, and ccp did make it so u can easily revert back to the classic version whenever u want. The large number of nerfs are bad, tbh i have a hard time seeing a really thought through reason for nerfing some of them cept the mob on the forums that whined day in day out to have them nerfed, but some of the fixes are good and were badly needed. So in a few weeks the dust will have settled, people will have decided to go with classic or premium, ohters will find ways around some nerfs, another 'i win' button will be found, and people will find something else they want to see nerfed and come whine about it on the forums, it's just same old really, i can't remember a big patch were stuff like this didn't happen. I would like to conclude with the following few words. The only way not to get sick and tired of this game is simple... adapt or die... it's always been like this and i can imagine it will remain like this for many a patch to come and i would not have survived all these years had i not followed this solid piece of advice. If u don't agree with the above thats your choice and ur right but don't flame me for mine, or do, and see if i care. CCP, let us pay the online shop with Direct Debit!!! Premium content patch was not and is not manditory. I play the game same as you.. the difference is I understand this expantion was huge nearly as large as the original client alone not inclueding the the classic patch. So yeah something this big is going to come with problems just like EVERY patch/expantion of any mmo on the market. Deal with it.. it isnt the end of the world.
