Then time came to build Capital ships, and MC needed a safe place to do it. When their favored client gave them a spot to work in, it maked a change from Mercenary towards Ally. Many contracts later, MC has fought much more in Bob's favor than against Bob. Perhaps it was because the money flowed freely from Bob, but time, closeness of bases and patterns of contracts constantly eroded MC's 'neutral' status. Now, Bob seems to have finally finished alienating enough of Eve that MC can see their downfall comming. IMHO, MC cannot return to 'neutral' status. The past contracts have built a group of victims who would love some payback. And there is this little matter of MC's home in the way of an assult on Bob. I can't see people choosing to 'go around' MC space to get to Bob. MC has always been very professional and cannot be criticized for their performance. IMHO they just got a little to close to one faction. Like Fix, they are doomed to be part of Bob's meatshield due to location and past history. As a Coalition member, I of course welcome MC's standing reset. However, I just can't see it making a difference in its comming fate. MC is quiet simply in the way.
