Goonswarm have been an important component of many mixed Coalition fleets. I wasn't implying otherwise. I don't think you've done so well purely on your own merits, compared to say -A- though. God, if I knew everyone was going to be so defensive about where their alliances were placed... You can disagree with me on who think has been most important, please post it. I was more wondering what everyone thought, than wanting my own list critiqued. I accept my list is merely my own personal experiences.

Failing to keep their allies, allowing RA to beat them back 3. Failing to aid ASCN, allowing BoB to conquer more space than it could hold 4. Failing altogether 5. Defecting to BoB, taking the fail with them 6. Riding with MC to the North, only to fail again once MC left, allowing the North to respawn Farham: "Remember, sometimes evolution ends in extinction."

Its created a new underclass in Eve. There's definitely a drop off after 2) on the BOB list. BOB's war has more been a bit of a one or two man effort, with a big but slightly unimportant supporting cast. The coalition is a more even effort. But credit to a lot of the GBC alliances. It took the Coalition a long time to chew through them and they have fought hard. RMF, RISE, FIX, AXE and others have done a good job.

They are more a supporting alliance though, and maybe lack a bit of punch despite their size by themselves. They've worked hard.

Or, we sent a few roaming gangs their way every week or so and that's what rise wanted you to believe.

Yes and thats why i agree with your earlier assesment that you cant really put many victories under goons belt. They are infact the support fleet that is capable of bringing a massive blob to any given occassion. You sent plenty of "proper" fleets their way, and plenty of them returned home in pods. You had several aborted attempts to take them out, and if they had appeared weaker you would have killed them off far earlier in the war. Of course, no doubt the fact BOB was supporting RISE throughout much of this time was a big factor too. Pandemic did a terrific job harassing an already fairly strained RISE into exhaustion, and dropping their morale (and ultimately driving them away to Fountain where they would eventually disband).
