Tau Ceti was underestimated, but we're well aware what theyre worth (aka more than FIX and RISE put together, multiplied by ten). Also, Pandemic Legion is well recognized for their massive achievements with even a few pilots, let alone their full efforts.

Thats kind of why its evident you are an armchair eve player. You still smell of ex-goon btw. Mind naming your goon char?
I'm a.....what?
Am I supposed to play standing up or something?
"ex-goon" depends what you mean. I've had an account on SA years before Goonfleet was made, or any of the Goon corps which predated Goonfleet for that matter. I've had several alts although not my main in Goonfleet at several times. I've been in, and am in, quite a few alliances though. And yeah, I fight, if you're trying to have a pathetic dig about that.
Anyway please stop de-railing. If you don't like my list for some reason, give some reasons.
Awesome story but how does it end?
the three bears come back to the house and eat goldilocks

Our side is tough because everyone has stepped up to the number 1 spot at one time or another. You really can't say that for the other side and I think that speaks volumes.

How can you discount FIX? They have more e-honour than any alliance I can think of, outside of BoB.

IAC have done jack except get r-caged by everyone and make one awful attempt at attacking a FIX station system.

This is quite true. Although BOB hasn't really had a lot of opportunity to recruit strong allies (and if the allies were out there, they've failed badly at securing them).
No doubt the lack of important alliances bar a couple in the GBC has partly been due to BOB's poor diplomacy and lack of being able to organise a whole coalition.

Disagree- RISE did keep PL in RIT area for 4-5 weeks, thats alot of griefing that could have been somewhere else.
Drivel. RISE had been under attack for months and months before Pandemic moved in.
Yes, because goonfleet focused all their attention on them for almost 10 months until the alliance was finally broken.
Or, we sent a few roaming gangs their way every week or so and that's what rise wanted you to believe.
No, you didn't. You sent plenty of "proper" fleets their way, and plenty of them returned home in pods. You had several aborted attempts to take them out, and if they had appeared weaker you would have killed them off far earlier in the war.
Of course, no doubt the fact BOB was supporting RISE throughout much of this time was a big factor too.
Pandemic did a terrific job harassing an already fairly strained RISE into exhaustion, and dropping their morale (and ultimately driving them away to Fountain where they would eventually disband).
Actually the goons are right. THEY didn't send many true battle fleets against RISE (though they did send a couple, which got pounded and sent home) RISE was harassed/threatened mostly by RA forces that remained in RHG for several weeks after RISE gained sovereignty. RA wasn't fully evicted from RHG until the summer. After which point RISE went fully offensive against KOS.
History from that point is blurry but the first major threat to RISE was when KOS hired KIA and KIA pushed RISE back to their home systems for 3 weeks (just as RISE was about to finish off KOS... after that point RISE was never able to really regain the momentum they had in KW-OAM and the offensive stalled and eventually was cancelled). This conflict, while RISE did well, was the first of several that slowly chipped away at RISE's reserves.
It didn't help that Burn Eden got their panties in a wad and decided to grief RISE just to prove they could do as well/better than KIA. Then AAA started showing up fairly regularly as did TCF, FREGE, CA, Free, etc. No less than 10 alliances were paying RISE periodic visits, limiting their ability to get back on the offensive and, while RISE was able to counter those enemies the losses did add up and paying rent probably didn't help them any in recovering (hey 6 bil/month could have replaced a lot of ships and built up their cap fleet which they were never truely willing to commit).
Once their reserves ran out and they had to stop paying their ship reimbursement program the end was already in sight. People that used to defend stopped because without the refunds they couldn't afford new ships quickly enough. Then PL showed up while half of RISE's remaining combat forces were off in 25s and bad leadership decisions on RISE's part pretty much ended any chance of driving PL off. Within 1.5 weeks pilots were told to stage in 5 different areas. People got sick of it and just stopped logging in. Eventually RISE just couldn't muster forces to defend. PL pilots, I am sure, will vouch that initially RISE did fight back against PL but due to attrition, craptastic leadership decisions and just slow/inadequate communications from leadership slowly stopped fighting until the evacuation decision was made.
No ONE alliance killed RISE. The accumulation of battle fatigue from fighting various forces from 10-15 alliances over a 3 month period killed RISE combined with really crappy decisions from the top. ----------- EVNS, bringing quality carebearing to a solar system near you! |

We were busy plowing through all the other crap alliances in Omist and Feyth before we turned full attention to RISE. But hey, if having Black Ops and RA complex teams live in your space is what 'fighting off an invasion' means, then mad props to RISE.

If you are talking about the "great war" (after ASCN before baby LV titan popping to present day). Then (imho) the alliance with greatest impact in the war and not mentioned.. YOU WHAT!
If it weren't for YOU WHAT switching, then this war would be where we are now (6-8 months ago). D2 were already in Fountain, Razor were in FIX.
The North would be in the south and it would have been goodbye BoB well b4 now
I would even rate YouWhat above MC (not that MC's take on the north was not awesome) but that might not have happened if YOU WHAT were still in the Northern side.

Poor Diplomacy?? Wow... now THAT is the understatement of the year.
BoB Leadership's idea of diplomacy: "Give us 6bn ISK a month for ****ty space, and we'll beat you with a stick constantly, AND YOU WILL ENJOY IT... otherwise, you can go back to Jita, Veld, etc..."

You've hit the nail on the head. Every alliance has pulled its weight, even KOS (by virtue of simply *surviving* the amount of junk they have).
Of the other side. Well, RISE where atrocious. Lots of bravado, but died in a mere few weeks once goons decided to actually invade, ISS where not really relevant, and that really leaves of note, BOB, MC and FIX. Fix I guess are the GBC's KOS. They survive, and MC and BOB , well laffo, are presently beating the snot out of each other.
Also, why do people forget Mantrain inc? The peoples choice in the EON awards. -----------

lol. I think we were still red with ra at the time, so I doubt anyone would claim that.
