Nope, no uber connection. 20 MBit cable, that's all.
And no, I'm not hiding out in some 0.0 system ( I have to show this to my corpmates, they'll laugh their asses off).

No you don't.
As Nyphur say, you dont. The reason for it is simply you pay to get access to the game, for a period of time. You also accept that there can be certain periods of offline times, where you cant play due to a.) server errors b.) server upgrades c.)maintainance d.) etc.
All this you accept in the EULA. If you dont accept the EULA, all you have to do is hit deny. It means you cant play the game but hey, that is your choice! CCP gives you the offer, and its up to you to accept is or deny it.

yeah, there's a couple of things you should be aware of when using your computer these days.
1) watch out for thieves, don't give your cc number to anyone you don't trust 2) terrorist might hi-jack your computer and use it for an virusattack against USA 3) CCP might ****-up your computer, making you lose all your documents etc etc...
I just can't belive how a company that made a game like EVE can manage to ****-up their patch(es?) and render a couple of thousand computers useless (for noobs that can't fix the problem themself). Gotta be some sort of MMORPG record :D

I will personally refund you the extended part of DT so we have 0.02$/hour x 5 hours=10 cents. Send me 10 sents plus 5$ S&H and you will have your refund. Just keep in mind the stamp used will have more value then probably a full day of DT so take a breathe and enjoy something else while it's going on...

It's easier to just say "If I send you the 10 cents the DT is worth will you shut up?!" -----sig-starts-here------

I'm 100% with the OP. He's obviously not trolling. Look at the replies, I think its obvious who the trolls are. You see them saying the same thing in every thread on this forum. They claim that this game is great, yet they are constantly here on the forum rather than actually playing it.
I agree, if the game was so damn great, people wouldn't be here everyday letting you know they quit because they are ******* sick of the development team.

Originally by: Tarasus Wow, you must have an nberconnection cause i got a 100/10 Mbit connection running with an X2 6000+, 4gb ram and x1950pro and even i experience some heavy lag form time to time... So, you got like an 2tb connection running on a IBM Bluegene with like 64gb ram and quad nvidia 8800 cards?
Lag has nothing to do with connection speed, I have 20M connection and I get it from time to time(and I have an uber PC) Lag happens ,mostly , because a server Node gets overworked
p.s. hey OP, stop moaning play the game

Originally by: Error404 I pay to be able to play for what it says when you sub 30 days of time and i'd find it quite disturbing if CCP didn't give us all this downtime back. All other mmorpgs are able to put these tiny patches on their servers and have them up within the hour of downtime so why can't EVE? What i also hate is how you have to go to Jita alot of the time as yet if you enter Jita then you wont be able to play again that night lol. I can't believe Jita hasn't been fixed and i don't see how hard it is to not have a center of the galaxy, why not just delete Jita lol...........
It's like whenever i want to play this game it seems to always be on downtime and then frigging they're like server will be up at this time.... actually no we changed our minds it'll be a hour later..... actually it'll be a hour later etc etc.
I'm sick and tired of the unstable overpopulated server and theres soooo much lag all the time. I don't understand why you can't just open 3 or 4 servers because i'd much prefer it's not like you talk to all 40k people that are playing each night anyways.
Name one MMO that lets you download the client for Free? Name one that gives you NEW additions to the game for Free? Now name on that works across multiple platforms ...the trade off is limited downtime. Cost benefit analysis = HUGE upside for very limited downside...
While I empathize wit your wanting to play, they are doing their best to maintain the game and limit the downtime AND limit the expense to the playerbase.
As for Jita what do you want? THEY know the problem is there...they will find a way to fix it.
As for Unstable...WTF...when has the server crashed? client instability does not necessarily mean problems with the server.
The idea behind EVE is one universe not slices of it get over your WoW server model...and think differently. EvE is different and with differences come challeges..take a deep breathe and before you know it you'll be able to play.

You might want to do more digging..215 PC's is not thousands..read the blog by the games designer where he mentioned Dev Blog on the boot.ini issue how many people have gotten help, how they contacted CCP, what CCP was doing to help them...I knwo of no other MMO that would ever offer to help their customer base as CCP has done. They are not angels...they are human but damn man get a grip.
