The Republic is her people. And many, many of those people still suffer in the chains of the Amarr Empire.
We fight for the Republic in the most direct way possible. And all who come to the aid of the Defiants honor the memory of our forefathers and legacy of those who created the Republic in the first place.

More Mindflood Saraith? I knew the new SCC regulations would cause problems for the Amarrians. There has been no civil war with the Republic, we are soaked in the blood of slavers, not Matari. We have called for elections to be held and put a bounty on Midular for ordering the assasination of Captain Muritor but that is hardly a civil war.
The Republic Parliment declared the Defiants and all who aid them traitors and outlaws already and quite some time ago. Yet neither Ushra'Khan or the Defiants have attacked the Republic. In fact we recently returned to Molden Heath for a time on a peace keeping mission.
While we disagree with it's leadership and want to see Midular replaced with a pro-Matari leader we certainly do not seek to destroy the Republic. Quite a ridiculous notion and one born out of blind fear. Fear because you see the tribes starting to unite as one. You see the Matari now rise against the centuries of holocaust your people have visited upon us in the name of your god.
A day will dawn when all our kin will be free. When that day comes I will not offer your kind enlightenment or a new way of life. I offer you the void. Your cities will be demolished. Your teachings and scriptures destroyed. Your bloodlines extinguished. Your names will never be uttered and history will forget you ever existed.
We come for our people, but first I am coming for you. Die well.

I smell fear from the Amarr slavers.
What is about to happen is the end result of 100+ years of Amarr arrogance, refusal to negotiate reasonably to free our kin from slavery, and blindly following traditions rather then progressing and evolving.
Unlike before when you surprised a people not prepared for your onslaught, now you face battle hardened veterans whose sole purpose has been to prepare for this day. You face a free people fighting for a legacy amongst the stars that was striped from them. You face a people fighting for their very right to exist. I pity you.
Though young and not as skilled as many others I am not afraid to back this grand endeavor. Add my name to those who will aid the Defiants. Add my name to the role call of history.

10,000 years of history tell a different story. The Holy Amarr Empire, shall, in time, once again begin to reclaim the Lessor Races and bring them to Enlightenment. This insignificant 100 year rebellion will be forgotten over the ages, remembered only in the context of how the glorious Amarr people perservered and conquerred in God's Name.

And every time I hear a member of PIE, Inc. use the words "Lesser Races" and "Enlightenment," I look more suspiciously at the Amarr Empire.
Maybe if you were so interested in supporting the 7th Fleet's call for auxiliaries in the Bleak Lands you wouldn't be trying so hard to alienate potential supporters from abroad. Not to alienating the Chief Executive Panel and loyalist Caldari, who both have a well-established track record of supporting the Amarr Empire's policies.
Of course that's just my opinion, from a member of a so-called "Lesser Race." ____
It was a magnificent display of trained and disciplined valour, and its assault only failed of success because dead men can advance no further.

Telemicus, don't get all exited if a single EM pilot voices his support for the Defiant cause. This is not the official stance of EM, just the opinion of a single pilot. In EM pilots are allowed to have opinions even if the official alliance opinion is different.

Enemy of the Republic? What do you care about the Republic? Wouldn't you, an Amarr loyalist, wish more enemies on the republic? I've heard some pretty weak rhetoric before, but this shoots right to the top. Thank you, Amarran, for clearing up the official stance of a government your empire barely even recognizes as a legal entity.

Nachson does not speak for Electus Matari, nor Gradient. We stand with the Republic, and do not wish a war. EM pilots, should they fly in Amarr space, will engage in combat only in self-defense, with our CONCORD-war targets PIE Inc and Vigilia Valeria, and certain pirate organizations on our current targets list. We will not assist the Defiants and we will not aggress other Amarr forces unless they start the hostilities.
I beg of all involved: stand back, do not let this slide into total war, where all involved will lose. Come home, Defiants.

I had hoped against hope that Electus Matari doctrine would not overrule the instincts of your warriors. A shame but given the circumstances it is understandable.
I have chosen my path, I fight for the freedom of our people. The law does not support this fight so I am an outlaw. Perhaps one day the Republic will choose a new leader, one who will lead our people to true liberty. When that day comes I may return to the Republic.

Amazing how we have achieved in 100+ years what you needed 10,000 years to accomplish. Just how much has changed in your 10,000 years Drakonus? Following your humiliating defeat by the Jove and the equally humiliating loss at the hands of armed slaves, your society stopped advancing and came to a grinding halt. Take a look at every race and see what wonders they have achieved in the last century, now look at your race and see the the beast wallow in the quagmire of past glories. Now longer do you look forward, only back to better days.
The entire Amarr society needs to be slapped back to reality. You all live a daydream of past glories and that is no longer going to happen. Wake up, at one time you were the power in the universe and that has changed much in the last hundred years. Today your massive fleet is just that, massive. However your ships are third class at best. You no longer have the advantage of superior technology. You have all lost what personal individualism is and become mindless drones of your God. God is to praise if you achieve a victory, God is testing you if you have a defeat. God controls your very being. This is the root of your problem.
Alter your ways, advance as a society. Start by abolishing slavery. I and many others will aid your transition to an automated society. Honor your past and traditions but release your death grip on them and progress and a new today and tomorrow. Be individuals, change your bullying ways, give up your universe spanning quest of total conquest. Join with the rest of we modern people.
PS: Drop the candle and get something electric.

Odd how duct tape and rust encrusted vessels have beaten your Golden Fleet. Tharrn if you would try grasping reality for a moment we Minmatar were further advanced then you in many ways prior to your invasion. As far as paying homage to and revering our ancestors, well at least I have proof of their existence. Now prove your God does.

On the contrary. We have already been slapped, farther 'slapping' would only farther entrench my people and drive them deeper into old comforts, regardless of reality. We need to be slowly eased towards advancement and gently persuaded to see reality. The Amarr are too proud a people to be persuaded by force.
Groups like the Defiants are counter-productive towards this end, their attacks give power to the hardliners and take away support from the moderates.
Originally by: Jacinda Molanth You all live a daydream of past glories and that is no longer going to happen. Wake up, at one time you were the power in the universe and that has changed much in the last hundred years.
Much has changed, and we have not changed with it. You are right, we must change if we are to rule again -- and as God means for us to rule, therefore we must change.
Originally by: Jacinda Molanth God is to praise if you achieve a victory, God is testing you if you have a defeat. God controls your very being. This is the root of your problem.
Faith in God is not a problem, without it we are not Amarr. Waiting for God to solve our every problem, instead of cunningly using all the gifts and tools God has given us, however, is. Stagnation in the ways in which we serve God denies the full service God deserves.
Originally by: Jacinda Molanth Alter your ways, advance as a society. Start by abolishing slavery. I and many others will aid your transition to an automated society. You can start your aid by helping fight groups such as the Defiants that do not wish us to become a modern, peaceful people, but rather wish for an endless war that will destroy both us and everything they fight for. For war will not bring about the end of slavery, save with the death of all slaves, though it shall bring about the end of the Empire -- not through any external threat, of course, but through the causation of internal decay, and the encouragement of ideals that will not permit the Empire to keep pace with the other nations. If we do not keep up and take our place as a modern nation, we will be irrelevant. If we become irrelevant, we have failed God, and have effectively destroyed ourselves.
Please, help bring the peace that won Heideran the Aidonis. Join the fight against the Defiants.

Some rather pathetic straw-grasping there, Tharrn, the type you Amarrian savages often engage in. Minmatar ships have quite severe powergrid requirements for their guns, but since they work on a simple but pretty fool-proof chemical propulsion that is part of the munition itself, they need no additional outlay of energy to actually fire them. This leaves much more capacitor energy (which provides the surge of energy required to fire a hybrid turret, or the rapid alternation or quick, large burst of energy required to activate the cathode of a laser beam) for other things, such as electronic warfare, armour or shield repair systems - or propulsion.
Another important thing to note is that, quite wisely, Minmatar are strictly minimalist in the construction of their ships. No unneccessary components are included. Additionally, their armour is constructed of ceramics or cerametal alloy, rather than metal (although there is usually a very thin sheet of superconducting material placed beneath the armour, which acts as an electromagnetic cage, which is where Minmatar ships derive their excellent armour EM resistance from). These facts combine to produce ships that are fairly lightweight, meaning that for that roughly the same size of engine as another race's battleship they can get a significantly larger ammount of thrust out of it.
Now if I could only work out why ships seem to have speed restrictions placed on them... I've found that without some sort of modification, like an afterburner, my Typhoon mysteriously can't accelerate beyond about 200 m/s - faster than the equally mysterious speed caps on Gallente, Minmatar and Amarr vessels. ----- The views expressed in these posts, while inarguably correct, are not neccessarily the views of my corporation or alliance.
I never sleep. I wait. |
