This will of course be denied but I've 'been there, done that' and people fly nano chiefly because it means they win and generally get out with their ship alive. (If you can do both and still win everytime like a couple of corps I could mention then you know you're onto a winner.)
This is borked risk versus reward which is the chief premise Eve works on. This game is risky to play, losing means something and that whole idea is one we cannot afford to lose. Otherwise Eve just becomes another world of warcraft game.
I pretty much exclusively fly nano ships because I enjoy it and I'm good at it but I'm not arsed if they take a nerf, because I know just how powerful they are if flown correctly. If you want to win consistently its basically the lack of balls way to fly. Thats the cold hard truth.
Again its borked risk versus reward. If you fly a balanced fleet consisting of slower ships and win then the risk was greater but the reward was the same.
Yeah, I know what you mean. There should be a risk involved when ratting/mining in 0.0.

Again, there was no dev that said, "We are going to nerf speed." If this is a topic it should be about the upcoming speed nerf to interdictors..............Which is what they said they were going to do.
My guess and my vote would be to keep the speed the same, and increase the mass enough that a dictor can't zoom out of it's bubble quite as fast. On the same note, the entire destroyer class and the assault frig class need reworking.

There was a dev that said they were going to nerf speed. In the live dev blog.

From the TRANSCRIPT
Quote: Mindstar: But on to the question that was destined for Zulupark before he strangely disappeared from audio was the question about speed. Is it working as intended? Are ships too fast and what's up with the speed nerf of interdictors?
Zulupark:There are many things up with speed. Personally and what were kinda discussing is stacking of speed mods. It's something we got to look into probably. Regarding interdictors themselves they were going really fast with proper fittings and it's ship that can bubble up huge amounts of space and it shouldn't be able to zoom in and out. Drop bubble, leave whole fleets into bubble and leave afterwards.
Underlined comments, regarding potential speed nerf. _________

Eh? There is a risk involved. To get jumped by a nanogang that takes very little risk. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I was gonna make a cool sig-picture, it was gonna have hot babes, spaceships and stufff...

Not true. You simply cannot be tackled by a nanoship when ratting. Pilot's error isn't a factor.

They really need to nerf the Megathon, Raven's, Recon ships.
Comon people is the Vaga meant to be fast? Is the Drake meant to have shields, Is the Raven good at missions?
Why change what the ship was obviously designed to do.

It isnt the nano ships, it is the no-balls having pilots that fly them.
Pilot 1: Hostile gang incoming Pilot 2: Number and ship count? Pilot 1: 10, vagas, zeals, and rapiers. Pilot 2: Muster gang, X up ladies Pilot 3: To late they already left. They got their daily noob drake kill.
No-balls. Cry to me about the cost of snakes when you never get out of your vaga and never come within 25 KM of a ship that could destroy you.
I own a T2 BPO and Capital alt, therefor all of my views will be pro-Capital Alt/T2 BPO orientated. Please pick one of the following settings for your response. []hate me []troll me []smack me |

:) could u please give me a melted crow on toast.
All I can say is I probelry like fast inty fights outside of web range more then any other fight esp if u are in a rails rannis V std crow. However speeds have gone so hi that these fights are now alsmot impossible (since one litle lag spike or one turn can seprate the 2 inties by 80 K when both are doing speeds over 10kps. I miss the days when ur gista mwd, or full set of overdrives only inched u out a little more speed, where 10kps was all u could do if u had all the boxes ticked. When ur inties are sperated by say 1 kps as uposded to 4 kps the long range fights become much more fun and skillful. As for other ship classes... I dont really mind but I miss this personal fight intes can have, thank god the sabre go nerfed cos I was making most inties look pointless0/
ps welsh I keep 4 legged corpses too u know :))))

hey, I hear word about this pretty awesome thing called reading. But on topic, I feel that speed is balanced as it is. Get a hyena, that's only, what? 20 or so days of training max? Just because you can't have kills served up on a plate to you doesn't mean that a ship/play type is overpowered. l2play.
