1. Find pistol 2. Load pistol 3. Place barrel of pistol in mouth 4. ???? 5. Profit
First I'd try to find an protect the people I care about. I have a shotgun and several swords, knives, and axes. If I fail at that then I go with plan b as stated above. ------ Any factual errors or mistakes in spelling and grammar should be attributed solely to me and not my nation of origin. |

I already have a plan. I live in the middle of nowhere and have a arsenal of guns.
All I need to do is put up floodlights and generators. I just haven't done it yet because the combination of all those together seems to get you put on a watch list.

Top 10 Lessons for Surviving a Zombie Attack
1. Organize before they rise! 2. They feel no fear, why should you? 3. Use your head: cut off theirs. 4. Blades donĘt need reloading. 5. Ideal protection = tight clothes, short hair. 6. Get up the staircase, then destroy it. 7. Get out of the car, get onto the bike. 8. Keep moving, keep low, keep quiet, keep alert! 9. No place is safe, only safer. 10. The zombie may be gone, but the threat lives on.

Guns are harder to come by here, but its also not hugely populated, so I think taking to the roads in a powerful car and going GTA on them for a few days might work. -

When the UK gvt sent out their helpful 'Preparing for Emergencies' booklet a couple or three years ago (containing such sage advise as 'if there is a fire in the building you are in you should leave the building') Linkage I returned it to my parliamentary representative with the suggestion that they should redo it to include emergencies people genuinely aren't prepared for, such as alien invasion and the dead rising from the grave. For some reason my MSP didn't agree with me (or reply for that matter) and to this day zombie related catastrophes are still absent from the document I always preferred this version anyway Linkage

Well, 1on1 against a stupid zombie I'd take a blade.... but when was the last time you only saw 1 zombie?
I'd take something for maximum penetration... probably belt fed

Depends on the zombie type. If it's a 28 days later type....erm, I'd probably wet myself and die , if it's the old, dumb trad zombie I would probably seek refuge on a boat as zombies don't usual swim.
Weapon of choice would be a sword, spear, something with a good reach, would also have a bio suit so I would'nt get infected by blood splatter.

as for a weapon? much like a character in any old game, I'd start off with a knife and work my way up from there. having trained a fair bit of kung fu, I'm fairly confident in which end of a sword to hold ;-) a glaive/polearm/naginata type weapon would probably be the best, as it has more uses than a sword does.
guns? nah. too unreliable... and since I live in sweden which has pretty strict weapon laws, coming by a gun, of any kind is extremely unlikely.

Sucks to live in England. If I walked for 3 days away from a population centre in any given direction, I'd be in the next population centre
Oh well. Its Wales-bound for me!

I like your style, but let's be practical. Zombies are always fought close-quarter. In alleyways. In crowded movie theaters. In shopping malls. A nag needs lots of room to be effective. It's a swinging weapon. If you have enough free space to use a nag, you should use it to run away and regroup. ----- TANSTAAFL

Part of my Zombie plan is to thank the lords Britain is an island and that French Zombies cannot swim. Also the chunnel can simply be collapsed in the event of Zombies trying to get in through the back door - now that sounded a tad dodgy....

Edited by: Gyfrex on 30/12/2007 00:03:57 Guns run out of ammo, ammo is hard(ish) to procure in England, having done a lot of Kendo and a wittle bit of Iaido, I'd almost certainly take a trusty katana or bokken, with a Wakizashi for those tight alleyways, failing that I'd take what every game I've ever had to fight a zombie in shows to be the greatest weapon against zombie hordes...the mighty shotgun.
Edit: Just a quick thought...Why not use mans greatest discovery ever...fire...toasting zombies will provide warmth through the winter months! ---

my favorite quote from that whole forum is about preventing pregnancy in the PAW (post apocalyptic world):
Quote: Only one of the orifices will get 'em preggers y'know but I figure it would be cheaper and take up a LOT less space and weight to add contraceptives rather than stock 15 years of Eros Body Glide, and the immense amounts of alcohol it would take to have my woman willingly accept to this.

Might be a bit un-PC statement in this pre-post-apocalyptic world, but wouldn't preventing pregnancies be quite counterproductive in an era where humanitys existance is allready on a knife edge? I mean come on, wouldn't it be beneficial for the 10k remaining humans to multiply as fast as possible ro remove the possibility of extinction as fast as humanly possible? (read as 1/2 times every 9 months per female remaining of the species).

Do you not realize that childbirth will most likely result in the death of the mother, and the mortality rate of infants will be stupidly high?
Are you assuming that the last humans left on earth will be in a nice sunny resort of a safehouse? All consolidated together and have plenty of food, medicine, and understanding in their fellow survivors to actually work together well enough to rebuild humanity?
I dont know what youre planning on doing, but im not gonna be anywhere near another human being who was lucky enough to live. Odds will be that they were not prepared to actually provide for themselves and will resort to attempting to steal my assets rather than learn to provide for themselves.
