API has a lot of room to grow.
It lets us players do a lot more with our websites than is even close to possible in every single other game.

Third party apps make the company money. They keep people in the game, loving it and playing it even when they are not PLAYING it. If you just fade off, don't communicate with your customers and leave a giant gap between us third party developers and the company you work for the API is doomed to invalidity as you will be so far removed from the community you won't have any idea what is needed by the APIs customers.
You have some big shoes to fill...

The EVE API and database dumps is one of the features that makes EVE a fantastic game compared to others.
CCP should post to this at least explaining the fate of the API, because you have hundreds of talented programmers enhancing your product FOR FREE by making useful tools, but you haven't the interest to interact with us?
Come now, at least be polite to the individuals who like your game they actually work on it with you (just not paid like you).
