They say that they had far fewer HPs then and looked a bit different, and that a dev spawned it for them... So, lies and deceit, or honest truth? ^^

There were "capital" class ships before RMR. None playable, but they were definitely in the game. I don't recognize that particular model, but I do distinctly remember a Minmatar 'City ship' and the Titan that the Serpentis stole. Both were "capital" class models.

The other races had Titan models before as well, and all looked pretty bad (though the Amarr one looks surprisingly similar to the one they have now, just less awesome). The only one I never saw an actual screenshot of was the Caldari one, although there is a picture on this website that claimed it was a Caldari Titan. Didn't look all that great. --- MOZO

But I really doubt the devs spawned one for anyone, those news would have travelled fast through the betatest world. I think it was that ship I shot at on my first day of beta test. I saw something really big and decided to attack it with my Ibis of utter doom, then something happened and I was in my pod.

This Titan (Soliteur) had a 8/8/ slot lay out if i recall it right and it only had the armor of a battleship i think. It was nothing but a placeholder and something Devs played around with. The on piloted by a player was handed to him by a dev for being a good bughunter i believe.

And he's definitely at a station, not a stargate. Much less the skills to pilot them. If that is indeed from beta then it is one hell of a rarity since they didnt even release battleships until castor iirc. But not impossible. And how was it used? The blue scanner didn't let you target anything, but it at least let you see where things were in relation to your ship. As you rotated you camera view it rotated with you. You could zoom in/out the range it was scanning. IIRC the max range was 200km, minimum 20. And man, it was a great day when the autopilot button was added. A glorious day. We even got to blow 1 or 2 up in beta events. They were quite the site back then. Well seeing a cruser was quite the site back then also. Let alone a BS. Oh and the Jita pop. Thats cuz back then Jita wasnt in Jita. It was in Yulai. It got lagged all to hell so they changed up the gates routing traffic away from it to aleviate lagg. Thats when jita poped up and it happened all over agian. So i think they said the hell with it realizing that doing the same to jita would just end up moving the hub to somewhere else so they left it alone. Those were some crazy days though i kinda miss it. Buggy as hell and sparce Pop but still very new and exciting. Swag Co.We Build the stuff you Steal
