I was being somewhat facetious, pointing out how many people (including myself) jump immediately to what often turns out to be fantastic (as in fantasy, not terrific) explanations because we don't initially understand it. Although, as one raised in the Amarrian faith, I understand that God's hand is ultimately behind everything, there is nothing that says that a certain phenomenon can be directly attributed to God without intermediate steps that are perfectly explainable once the facts are in.
Considering how long it takes to clear up a simple criminal investigation into the assassination of one of the greatest leaders of our time, though, I wouldn't expect this star thing to be figured out this century. Speaking of a phenomenon with perfectly explicable direct causes. Ahem.

I have heard alot of rumors but I think we can all agree that this phenomena can be filed under Requires More Study. Whether it is 'Elvis?' returning, a supernova, singularity, an Amarr prediction or some giant space Fedos flatulence, I think we need to approach this scientifically without the speculation and sensationalism. Perhaps the 4 empires and Concord should contact the Jove and send out expeditions.
I would really prefer to not call upon the Jovians on this one. The hysteria surrounding their Ambassador's Cluster-wide personal visitation makes me cautious in anything involving them and great distances.

Following the suggestion by the Sisterhood I took a shuttle on an express trip to the EVE Gate. While I cannot assure you what the bright star in the sky is I can say that you CANNOT see it from the Gate itself and the Gate appears brighter than its system's sun. This would suggest to me that it may very well be as suggested, that the Bright Star IS the EVE Gate.

It may just be that next to the gate it is so bright you do not see it OR that the waves of storms comming out of the gate scramble the view in some way maybe because it is the same storms from the star looking thing as what's comming though the gate.
And besides when I see the bright star looking storm in the sky it is in the direction of Delve not the EVE gate witch is behind me. Were I'm at the star is about South West and the EVE gate is North of me.
