An alarming amount of new players have no idea who ASCN even was, let alone the circumstances that led to their defeat. Most of the alliances that performed their swan song during that period are either forgotten or well on their way. Reason being that nobody cares about losers vOv.

If you are going to go out on a limb and throw numbers around you need to put a little more backing to them. That being said, I am not sure if BoB will hold Delve indefinitely but my gut says they will be around for quite some time. The biggest problem is attacking home turf always gives the defenders a massive advantage. Shorter supply lines, knowledge of territory and more emotional motivation as it is their "home." That being said this has been a very long and drawn out war and it seems to be losing momentum as most prolonged conflicts do. As pilots get bored of the war this will make things easier for BoB. In any case, it has been a fun war to follow but I simply don't think that the coalition truly has the motivation to follow thru to the end...because as the orignal poster stated and I think few would disagree...the end is definitely not within sight so this could drag on many more months if not a year or more.

Having tried to get involved with some of the fights around delve (including tonight around PR- and the attempt to kill the titan a fewnights ago) it is pretty clear that the game is unplayable in terms of fleet combat at the numbers needed to take down systems, it is the worst I have ever seen with entire constellatons becoming mired in lag when a single system is blobbed, even with no active battle taking place. Given that bob are the masters of playing with lag and have many MS lag bombs and titans they will very likely do very well in every lag fight going and certainly better than there enemies many of whom will give up after a few lagged out deaths (not so much the goons but a lot of the fair weather members of the coalition). Unless the coalition can get so co-ordinated as to put many systems a long way apart into reinforced at the same time and have the resources to totally fill up a system to its cap then it is hard to see how this war is going to end soon or at all now its narrowed down to a smaller area.
