You have your mom's credit card, you pay your subscription fees, and you help power level newbs in WoW. The other life is also lived in computers, where you go by the pod pilot callsign Brent Anderson, and are guilty of virtually every Eve-Online faux pas known to this forum. One of these lives has a future, Mr. Anderson, and one of them does not. I'm going to be as forthcoming as I can be, Mr. Anderson. You're here because you thought Eve was going to be a joyride. We know that you've been podded by a certain individual: A man who prowls low sec looking for easy kills. Now, whatever you think you know about this man is irrelevant. He is considered by many newbs to be the most dangerous man alive. But we're willing to wipe the slate clean, Mr. Anderson. Give you a fresh start. And all that we're asking in return is your swift retreat back to the World of Warcraft, and the distribution of "your stuff" to us.
Sir. You win the internet
Neither life has any future... and I personally just love all the little smacktards and muppets that troll the forums thinking their teenage, assinine behavior is just so ******* cool it'll somehow get them mad virtual *****. Yes, Eve is a sandbox, but there so many old turds in the box that it's impossible to play anywhere without getting **** on your shoe.
Morally and ethically, turning this toon over to my kid would be akin to giving up booze/drugs and tell him I'll let him start doing the same **** soon. If I hated him, I'd expose him to the wonderful people of EVE... maybe I'll give his mother an account... jk. laters.

I got jumped by someone who finds griefkilling a past time as I tried to warp but he had a device that trapped me.. I was dead then pod killed... all my work destroyed....
I will not play this game again.. and will encourage others not to.. as I hate grief killers. If EVE wishes me to mayhap think about returning do something simple... MAKE PVP A TOGGABLE OPTION... I was not looking for a fight and I'd have never picked a fight at all with another player... he for his own amusement Destroyed 2 weeks of playing and working..... and all desire to ever play again. That just lost CCP 120-160 dollars a year...because I will not play anymore.
Also note perhaps what WOW has done people who like griefing go and play on PVP servers the others who don't like PVP all the time go elsewhere.
if ( $above == "TROLL" || $above == false ) {
$You = "Very clever person"; $Me = "Applauded and grats to you, who ever you are!";
echo $You."have have done well and I congratulate".$you."on your troll as from the responses it worked!";
} else if ( $above == "SERIOUS" above == true ) {
$Empire = "Where lots of monies is made!"
echo "I hate to say it but GO AWAY! EVE is a PVP game where PVP is everywhere, if you made it an option you would have pockets of EVE Universe (".$Empire.")where nothing will happen because you are PVP from the moment you buy something on the market from the moment you destroy some ones pod. Not to mention you would ruin the essence of EVE online.<br/><br/>";
if ( $StUfFs = "Worth something" ) { echo "CAN I HAVE YOUR STUFFS"; }

I wish I could put this code in my forum posts and just set it as an automated response to posts like this...
You would of course need to code in a non crud language :(

Wow. That's the fun part of eve and you want to fit it with a toggle? When what happened to you happened to me for the first time, I simply climbed back into another ship, went back, with bloody murder in mind, and... died again.
Eve is a game of adrenalin and heart thumping tension. If you want to play it without that... well, good luck in whatever other game you decide to play instead.
CCP this is not the nerf you are looking for...

it's ok. you can go back and play wow... In fact, when ppl like you cancel their eve accounts, it gives most of us cause to celebrate. It's why so many of us have more than 1 account. Because we are allowed to fail or succeed based on our own actions, much as you failed when you decided to go 'exploring the pretty spacescapes' when you knew it was dangerous. In fact, in celebration of this event, I may just open another alt account.

To all who have let eve consume them... it's a game. CCP has a great system by which the player must get hooked in with the early rapid training and the classic carrot/stick approach. Reminds me of the old anti-drug advertisement of the coke addict running the circle of dependency. If EVE shuts down tomorrow -simply pulls the plug- you can either embrace life or retreat into fantasy and illusion. Put your time online into life where the rewards might not be as glamorous, but they are real. Too many MMO players -and I have been quite guilty of this- escape from the life much like one retreats into the bottle or drugs. Their RL family members suffer in much the same way as if they had a severely alcoholic or drug addicted parent. EVE is just another "fix", another escape -an illusion. Get involved in RL 1.0 again. Get into your friends, family, churches.
Sure, some can just hop in and play for 1-2 hours, have some giggles... I ain't one of them. I log in and 7 hours fly by as I try to reach the next carrot on the path. This has been an interesting experiment.
Nice post. (truth)
