I would imagine that stations would have some sort of very powerful shield repper that could repair a ship's shields instantly.

Usually by the time said firepower has acquired lock and is raining down on the target he can then dock up again, nitwit.

It has been changed. Shields don't automatically recharge anymore. Try it out... just dock with low shields, then undock. You have to do something like swap a fitting or open the repair window to get instant recharge now... I still think it's far less of an exploit than others which are running rampant.

Wrong. You can undock the instant you dock.
You can START the undocking process yes, but just for a laugh, run a timer the next time you do so and clock how long you are in the "Preparing to undock-Entering space" progress bar. Do it when you immediately undock after docking, and when you wait for your session timer to expire. You'll notice you are undocking a lot more slowly in the first case. I think the undock progress is factoring in the session timer. You just don't have to wait to start it like you have to when switching ships.

Actually, that's only a display bug. The shields and cap do get the recharge, the hud just doesn't show it until you do something that forces an update. Once you activate a module, it pops back to full.

Its common practice to have a ceptor bump the hostile away from the station. Either that you are going to need some heavy damage dealers to take the ship out fast.
I suppose stations do give a small advantage to sheild tankers, but there's nothing stopping armor reppers repairing too. If you can fly a BS you should be able to afford to repair it, if not stop messing about at stations, because thats all it is, messing about till someone makes a mistake.

As someone else said earlier.. If he undock and aggro at you he will get the 30 sec timer where he cant dock. If youre unable to kill him in 30-40 sec I guess you need to bring more +dmg ships or leave. If he undock and doesnt aggro you, hes just playing with you as he can dock whenever he wants to. Not an exploit. hes just using up all your ammo :P

Although not a new feature, it's something that should be fixed in my opinion.
Battleships doing that isn't that much of problem, usually its feasible to kill them in those 60 seconds. Capitals in the other hand take long whiles to succumb. Something like Moros next to bumb-proof station is a bit too invincible. Such ship can fight effectively againts a small to medium fleet of ships, instadocking to refill cap/shields.
-Lasse having quite many KMs with such Moros

The station doesn't run on diesel. The station could have a number of energy sources that probably doesn't exist atm. can it be that the outpost was designed to perform it?

And where was your repair ship or logistics ship to fully rep your own ships? I have an alt who can rep everything AND transfer energy on demand (it looks like a Megathron, but it's really a Repathron). Station slugfests are fine and dandy if your opponent agrees, but you really need to think strategically. ---------------- Mutatis Mutandis |

No, we were forced into a station camp. AKA: they were station camping us. Sorry for any confusion.
And no, this wasn't a troll post for my first one. It's a legitimate problem with a game mechanic being abused to provide an unfair benefit. Ala the alliance hopping to avoid wars. |

While the OPs version has no real value to the one doing this, the version with a cap ship might indeed be a littl unintended advantage. On the other side there are no bump-proof stations, some are quite hard to bump a ship away, but you can do that from every station.
So lets say that moros engages, you start bumping him and he is forced to disengage, in order to be able to dock before you bump him out of docking range. One minute is a long time, if you have some good bumpers or if most of the ships in said fleet have an mwd and are bumping in the same direction, there is no station that you can't bump a dread of dockingrange within one minute. So even in that version, the advantage of that tactics is quite limited: if he engages a fleet that can kill him, he might get bumped away and die.

Here's a question though - what's stopping you from doing the same?
errr what?

Umm... just do repairs (a minor cost) and your armor is back to 100%
Minor cost my ass, a Trimarked, plated megathron costs around 7-10m per full armor rep, and if you remove the plates to fit reps...guess what....you cant undock...free armor reps plz.
take off plates, this leaves you in negative armor, leave ship and get back in to reset to 0 armor, then you can undock..
