WoW has like umpteen million people playing. Quite frankly, they can have their awards if it keeps that much riff-raff out of EVE :D ----- You're not what you are, you're just what you do! A Maseratti vs a Dacia 1310, or... a ...a Game made for ****** people that like to off to dancing elves vs a game in wich every time you undock you worry about your assets and hope to survive, in wich you actually have to use your neurons you know... Before i watched that video i was SURE Eve would win MMO of the year, it looks, plays, sounds, feels EVERYTHINGS better than WoW bull** :( I feel real sorry for CCP, it is not fair to them :( NOT FAIR AT ALL!
DHB WildCat BURN EDEN	Posted - 2008.02.08 21:59:00 - [8] TBH I am not surprised at this at all. The last few patches have been CCP going "OOOO look how pretty we can make it!" Which is fine and all, but the combination of massive lag fest, nonstop nerf this / nerf that, and a staff composed of drunk employees makes for a very poor game experience compared to other companies. The award takes into account the company and most emportantly the game experience on every scale. EVE is far behind in these reguards. But hey, we have new graphics! WildCat

So frankly who cares, but if you want my opinion eve didn't really deserve it this year its had a bit of a bad year in my opinion. But then... WHY THE HELL put them in the same cathegory in the first place? And to the guy that said "mighty flamboyant hammer of giraffe vs pew pew"-yes, they HAVE gone wrong... It's like comparing a "shiny knife of**** (fag+2)" to a "nuclear bomb (range=..., damage=....damage types=...)" I'd choose the bomb tbh...

I think it would have made me (and a **load of other players) just a liiitle bit more proud to have chosen Eve as their favourite MMO and not that **** WoW crap... And what's wrong with the devs having an even bigger epeen? Frankly i think they diserve to have it because they made the Best MMO of all time... And it's not their fault if they can't jump 200 years into the future and find a way to eliminate lag for good... And about 500 vs 500 fleet fights... please... World of **craft has tons of servers on which everyone plays, eve only has ONE... I think we will have to invent V.I.K.I and ma3a and GlaDOS and tell them all to process Eve at once to eliminate the dreaded server lag for good... And again, it's not the dev's fault they don't own a science fiction server...

Xar Corleoni	Posted - 2008.02.09 00:02:00 - [19] not a suprise a game where time = power where new players get no protection from more experienced noob hunters where PVP is more important than the experience etc etc etc boot.ini could just be classed as a mistake (pretty damn good one thou :)) so i dont think that would affect things too much trinity has been a disappointment for anyone on medium systems (i know it let me down :() all in all eve is at the point where it cannot develop any further as a game and just doesnt have the instant appeal of other mmos like WOW where time playing is rewarded rather than the ammount of subscriptiions you pay to CCP

Impossible according to bob 80% of eve is attacking them in these types of fleets, so obviously your wrong there.

Wow is a game based not on depth, but on creating several factors that compel you to play whether you're actually having fun or not. You just HAVE to get to the next level. Anyone who has played WoW for a significant amount of time has felt this, a NEED to obtain a level long after they've stopped having fun. McDonalds food isn't that great, but it's filled with chemical compounds that you can become psychologically dependent upon.
