Mackinaw needs more CPU so it can equip 2x Ice harvesters T2 and 2x mining upgrades T2. Best named T1 gives the same bonuses but is simply too expensive (around 400 mil/pc)
It is a t2 ship that costs 90+ mil (same as hulk atm) so why should it be the only Exhumer that can't fit a full T2 mining setup?

Thanks for the advice I will put it to a good use but still a small boost to the ships CPU wouldnt hurt.

ok, just turn in your ice mining bonus first, so you can be just like the other exhumers... ç¦ |

I dont get your point. With maxed skills a Mackinaw is about 15 - 20% better than Hulk with t2 mining gear (if you could fit it on mackinaw without implants). Description: The Mackinaw is a specialty vessel, ideally suited for ice mining.
It's only role is Ice mining. Why shouldn't it be able to fully fulfill this role without the need of fitting implants or expensive named equipment just to reach t2 attributes?
And while we at it why has the Mackinaw same CPU as Shiff despite the fact that Mackinaw requires 2x more miners to fulfill its role?

To be absolutely honest, dont most players macro-ice-harvest anyway? So time, especially in the range of very few percent, doesn't really matter.
Apart from that, are the heavens falling because you can't use two T2 upgrade modules but instead one T2 and one T1? I know they aren't for me, and I have a specialized mining char. Just slap some T2 cargoholds on the Mack and semi-afk ice harvest. Do something less boring and meaningful at the same time. Well at least that's my recommendation.

Point is to get as much as possible in the shortest time as possible without having to spend and risk huge amout of isk just to get decend isk(ice)/hour ration because I am not a macro. Macro don't care about time, real players do.
Why would for example mission runners spend huge amouth of isk just to get a few more % on dmg or tank?
The main reason I mine is that I can do it semi-afk and

(very good point by the way)
while making isk or getting the fuel I need. Sure is mining booring, so is rathunting and mission running, exploration is very booring till you finally find that signature. That is why I want to reach my goal (desired amouth of ice in his case) in the shorthest time possible.
Putting on expanders is a way but it totaly goes against isk/time ration and is making the Mackinaw an absolutely useless ship because Hulk with 2x t2 ice mining upgrades (can fit) has the same ice yeld and cargo as Mackinaw with 2x t2 cargo expanders.

Retriever & Mackinaw are indeed lacking in the CPU department, having the same amount as a Procurer & Skiff, which can only carry one Strip Miner. Currently with the +3% CPU implant & CPU skill at V you can fit two Ice MLU II's but you are essentialy left with nothing else, so you cant tank anything at all, which makes Ice Mining much riskier then it needs to be.
CPU should be increased (to 200-225) so they can mine Ice succesfully with the proper protection you'd expect from a T2 ship. Otherwise Mackinaw is useless because not using two MLU II's is a waste and you might as well go for a Hulk.

Hulks unfortunitely are no diffrent.
3 t2 strip miners 2 MLU t2's and defense modules
takes up too much cpu, this is with everything maxed to 5, save MLU skill which is at 4. As a result you rather need that implant to properly function at your peak effectivness. The Exhumers DO NEED a cpu adjustment of only a few points as it does seem rather rediclous to spend ISK on an implant so that you can use a ship and module at peak performance instead of just augmenting your performance.

Another solution would be to set the CPU on an Ice Miner II to 60 like all the other Strip Miners and not 66, that way you'd have some CPU left for a tank. ------------------------

Sorry, but the Hulk is VERY different. It is perfectly possible to fit T2 Strips, T2 MLUs, and a low-CPU faction tank (look at CN passive resistance amps). This is doable on skills alone. The Mackinaw cannot even fit the Strips and Upgrades without expensive implants.
Even with MAX SKILLS, a KMB-75 and a HY-2 (not HX-2 or Yeti), the Mackinaw has a whopping 10 CPU left after fitting Strips and T2 Upgrades. The Hulk, fitted similarly (3 Strips though), has 79.6 CPU left with max skills, or 100 CPU left fitted with KMB-75 and HY-2. So, if you consider a difference of over 80 CPU to fit defensive modules with to be 'no different', your point stands.
With that 80 CPU you have after T2 Upgrades on a Hulk, you can fit a pair of CN resistance amplifiers (about 20m each) or named T1 resistance amplifiers (<1m each) and a faction small booster (20m again), or a best named (500k) and fill the last slot with some type of cap charger, or a named 25% resistance amplifier (some are as low as 6 CPU, 0 grid)
With the -2 CPU you have left on a Mackinaw without implants, you can fit. . . nothing. With the 10 CPU you have left after your KMB-75 and HY-2 you can fit a 25% resistance amplifier. There is simply no possible way to squeeze a booster or extender (this includes COSMOS mods and even COSMOS Micro Extenders) onto a Mackinaw in tandem with T2 Upgrades and T2 Strips.
Lets say we use Ingenuiis (500m+ jita price), a KMB-75 (150m) and a HY-2(30m). This nets us a whopping 26 CPU to play with. That'll squeeze on a Gistii Booster (if you're spending 1.2B already, what's another 200m?), or a best named Medium Extender. Um, yay. We now have a paper mache tank (upgraded from wet paper bag tank), for a cool 1.5B including ship costs. If you do this, PLEASE tell me where you mine.
Now if we give the Hulk the same pimp treatment with Aeodes, we get 120 CPU to play with. You can fit pretty much whatever shield tank you want in 4 slots with that, (PG limited of course, but we have ACR rigs for that on a pimp fit). -------------------- ICE Blueprint Sales FIRST!! -Yipsilanti Pfft.
