EVE Search - The old UES thread (from beta to 1.12)

Legende	Posted - 2005.02.02 07:53:00 - [1] I'm not entirely sure how your distribution process works, as I have yet to purchase my own copy [ISK has been commited to something else, always, never 3 mil to spare and not enough use to warrent putting the pay sheet above other stuff], but what it sounds like is you are generating a seperate sheet for each user? By hand? Is it a security thing? I'm trying to figure out what you are doing b/c, while it sounds like you won't be able to automate it, there may be web based alternatives. I'm thinkin something along the lines of a php based site that generates indivualized links that work for a given amount of time and for one download only. Matrix Online beta does this for their client download, that's where the idea comes from. It would prevent linking, it would make distribution SO much easier [upload file, click "send emails" button, let the script do it's thing], and using a sql database you could keep track of the users.
