Well atm the "stats" are as follows:

19 caps killed and 1 lost for TRI.
3 posses killed and 2 lost for TRI (1 of those didnt have stront and the other was offline, so smashkilll have not reinforced a single TRI pos).

TRI keeps reinforcing towers in 4u9 (8 jumps from our systems, no sov in there i think) but they keeps coming out at US timezones when we cant do much.

So basicly it sucks to fight EU vs US timezone alliances, we have really only had one major battle, and that was the one when roadkill/friends lost 19 caps and then pulled out.

Also, as an unintended beneficial side effect, lag would be reduced as the logins would be to some extent throttled by many members of our esteemed internet spaceship flying community having to take their shoes and socks of to complete the simple arithmetic puzzles

we (smash) are not involved in this. jusr a handful of our pilots when they x up for some pvp etc. as far as am aware no mass smash action has been taken todo with this (yet?) ...

Can't help but answer this since I lived it back in '05 when we were fighting RA/Goons etc.

Lets try to compared replacing a carrier back then with now shall we?

2005 way.
1. Die.
2. Emo, emo, emo, emo Guitar solo.
3. ***** about lack of other capitals on the field (10 together was a HUGH fleet)
4. Angst and anger.
5. Acceptance.
6. Go to 0.0 GOOD system (remember no drones back then) pray for hauler spawn/officer spawn.
7. Look on escrow for carrier, find none.
8. Curse (no not the region)
9. Go to alliance, ask about capital ship builders. Find 2, backed up for the next 5 years.
10. Go to forums.
11. Find capital seller, usually backed up for 3+ weeks.
12. Wait 3 weeks with plenty of isk, yet no ship.
13. Get fittings
14. Fit ship when ready, go back into the fray.

Lets look at 2008.
1. Die
2. Laugh, after all lag is 10x worse as back then.
3. While in pod/station open contracts, type in "carrier for your race"
4. 100+ appear.
5. Pick cheapest and closest, hit accept.
6. Fit carrier from jita fittings, re-enter fray 2 days later if it was late when you died.

Yup, this loss is horrendous. We better give up and give our stuff to others and go play 'Hello-kitty-adventure islandÖ'

Back in 05 this woulda been an alliance killer like it was for ERA. Today it's like losing 20 battleships in late 04. It's a little annoying, but that's about it, annoying.

You guys are in the same boat, lose 20 capitals. Your close to jita, bam replaced in a day.

LV was formed by shinra, and in the early stages, no offence to the other LV corps, but we were the capital fleet, we fielded more dreads/ carriers + battleships than all of your coalition combined, this was in 2006, and we were one corp. We were also nothing on such corps as ATUK and Outbreak, which just goes to show how far down the food chain you guys are.

Yet your in Itto-Ryu and no alliance this morning, change of heart? Against the posting rules of your corp? I'm pretty sure your aim at the moment is to eliminate the triumvirate alliance, the alliance mail that was sent to you guys said something along the lines of:

Well the TRI "fail" was going to bwf and killing 199 smashroadkillatlas and loose 136 ( 34 / 25 battleships ). We didnt put up any posses no, we were there for a good fight and got one.
The roadkill "fail" was "invading" an empty system, loose 21 capitals and kill 1, loose 5 posses and kill 1 and I cant be bothered to count battleship/support.

So Im quite happy atm :)

a fails a fail at the end of the day. it just depends which u think is worse. having ur entire fleet routed and chased back to ur home system before sitting posed up helplessly while smashkill & co spell out words with spaceships or loosing 20 caps for 2 "afk" poses.

its just it seems strange that some tri members feel the need to post about loosing respect etc when, until recently, their performance in this conflict have been really less than impressive
