Online tests are bogus crap, scored 132 half asleep and just skimming the questions, not like the test would've gotten any more attention of me wide awake since these things just doesn't tickle me.
And how the hell is a non native to the US going to figure out of it's some obscure city or animal anways... What was the average again? Man that's considered ******** in most countries.

The very concept of measuring intelligence seems flawed to me. There are people out there that have IQ's way higher then mine that I could pummel into the ground in an intellectual debate.

I can't be assed to take the test, but when I've taken IQ tests administered by real people I've generally scored between 127 and 130. Smarter than average, but by no means brilliant. I used to think I was the **** for being smarter than most people until life forced a dose of brutal reality down my throat.
P.S. When your kid is 10 years old, don't show him the results of the damned test.

Those are all made-up words. The point is to test your capacity for logic. (I'm assuming they asked you to answer "true" or "false"...)

Landed at 156 on this one, did a much more thourough one a few weeks ago which put me at 134, I'm more inclined to believe the latter result, however disappointing

first the test is in english, so it could be accurate for native english speakers only
second, it contains "states" as an option, witch makes it more geographic question, also aligned to U.S.
third, there's no time limit
fourth, it did _not_ ask me any personal info, excluding my birthdate and gender.
fifth i got 142 (i get 140 -165 depending on test), im not native english speaker so add something

The IQ of Feynman was 123 yet he's smarter than all of you.
I'm sure these scores are incredibly bloated. The questions are general low-mid level complexity although they are somewhat accurate of what a real WAIS IQ test would ask in that complexity range. Adjusting for that, and the small number of questions, I'd put most of you displaying 141-160 back in the 120-140 range (that's being generous) just based on national averages. Unless, of course, you actually took a real administered test and have real results.

wow, so it only take 20 simplistic questions to tell me my IQ is the equivalent to Einstein's.
going by that test it doesn't make Einstein seem as intelligent as we were lead to believe..
i wonder how they did estimate Einstein's IQ..also quite stupid to compare people of today to Einstein considering the sizable time gap..
oh well im off to invent a new form of energy.

Actually IMO it's not that they are bloated, it's that they dont actually reflect IQ at all. It reflects your ability to take tests well.
There are many different aspects of intelligence. Even real, well thought out IQ tests fail to measure all types of intelligence. This test is very one dimensional. Pablo Picasso would have probably scored a 60. |
