I just installed the new patch and after a reboot I'm not able to log on.
On the login screen, where it usually says the number of players, it just says Incompatible (protocol).
After putting in a username and password and pressing Enter, I get a pop up dialog box saying the same thing, Incompatible (protocol).
Suggestions? First time I've had issue with the client since installing it about a month ago.

Yeah, i have the same thing here.
Used the autodownload for the newest patch.
And now it only dispalys "Incompatible Protocol"

I've got the same too - I think we're just a bit early going for the patch. Hopefully devs will spot this and repatch - and hopefully this won;t dump us in a full client reload situation..  |

Same problem. even with the manuel patch download and install it dosent work. Says error = error ept0029:

"Trinity 1.0.2 patch deployed during extended downtime today. Due to issues with the autopatcher there will be some delay in opening the server for player connections."

After I downloaded the patch (automatically), it said I needed to reboot my computer, so I clicked the button that said to do so. My computer did not restart, so I started EVE. At this point I got the error windows saying a pile of files were incompatable. At this point I restarted my computer. Now when I try to start the game, it just closes instantly.

Yep incompatible protocal .... add me to list ... LOL and this patch was intended to fix a problem where people could not put there login name in ..lol ... now they created a whole new error ...nice ccp ....nice
