Ok, I do most of my forum reading in the ships and modules forum - sometimes there is even something useful to be said.
However, one of my biggest gripes are the people who say

A couple months ago, i even got so annoyed that I wrote up a post about what exactly drones are used for, and what their different sizes reflect. As this particular quote came from a post just last week (and its not the only one, just one from a page I happened to have open), i can probably say with relative ease that my post had absolutely no effect at all.
Because of my increasing frustration, I ask you - members of the crime and punishment forum, what you would think to be a proper method of expressing my frustration. I am very tempted to put a bounty out (for repeated killing and podding, followed by a convo of "heavy drones are not battleship sized weapons"... this would be especially funny if they were killed by heavy drones, but...) of the idiots who say this, but I have a feeling that if I did, i would run out of isk before the end of the first day.
Logic and reason appear to have no effect upon these people - therefore, i have to resort to other means. Lets hear your ideas for a proper punishment.

No, i'm not going to quit eve - it isn't that big a deal for me, more an extreme frustration (as an engineer, i really like logic and reason... and people who don't even consider it are annoying)
And most importantly - NO YOU CANNOT HAVE MY STUFF
Though i may throw some of it your way next time i go out to pvp - i might head out your way . Do you think an ishtar would be a good ship to use? Or would a domi or myrm be better?

If it is Logic you are looking for you have gone far far from where you want to be. This is C&P second probubly only to CAOD in insanity levels.
Also a large number of us are pirates...and have to deal with gate guns...thus consider drones more limited in usfulness by comparison to other wepon systems, and thus...couldn't much give a damn about what you are saying.
Also do not put bouties they are a flawed and useless tool that allows people to kill them self and make money on the deal...greeeaaat plan.
So instead do the following:
1) War dec them and handle it yourself
2) Hire mercs and have them handle it
3) Forulate better aguments on Ships and Moduals.
4) Remind me why I am posting in your thread again
5) Make little voodoo dolls of said people and poke them
6) Burn said voodoo dolls.
7) Clean up the ashes and put them in a small papper back.
8) Find away to transmint ashes into computer data
9) Eve mail said ashes to them.

Hey - I'm not asking for logic out of this forum, I'm asking it out of ships and modules. All I'm asking you happy pirates about is ways to express my frustration in a more personal manner (something I feel you all know about  ).
And Tchell Dahhn, about what time are you online most of the time? I can't promise anything, but if you're on sometime in the 18 or so hours after downtime, I'm usually on off and on sometime in that time, with most of my action being in the last 2-4 hours of that time period. However, if there is another time that I can be sure of finding you, I'll try and make it on around then to give you the loot

Quit being a crybaby because you're gonna get nerfed. OBVIOUSLY heavy drones are battleship-class weapons, because battleships have drone bays.

I agree with the stupid doctor on this one. The myrmidon was rightly nerfed, hopefully for next major patch they can reduce the Ishtars drone bandwith aslo. I mean battleship weapons on a bc is bad enough, but on a cruiser

you know, i can fit a battleship weapon to my harbing
just one though.
same goes for a torp launcher on a drake. entertaining but otherwise pointless
small gun = standards/rockets = light drone
medium gun = heavies/HAM's = medium drone
large gun = torps/cruise = heavy drone
cap gun = citadel torps = fighters
im sure you can see a natural progression here.

Not one single thing about a heavy drone is battleship-size, you dolts. The 125 meter signature resolution and distinct lack of battleship-class damage output should make that apparent. OH GOD A HAC THAT DOES 475.2 DPS! TOTALLY OUT OF LINE!

You forgot sentry drones
Look at it this way
signature resolution
small drone = 25
Small gun = 40
medium drone = 60
Medium gun = 125
heavy drone = 125
Large gun = 400
sentry drone = 400
Now tell me - do you see something similar here?

If we drop BS dronebays to 20m3 bandwidth, heavy drones cease to be balance-breaking battleship class weapons and you can legitimately fit them on cruisers. That'd fix it.

The myrmidon had really good damage output cos it had 6 turrets in addition to enough low slots to fit magstabs and a pretty good tanking bonus to keep it alive. The Ishtar would barely do any damage if its bandwidth were to be nerfed.

This whole thread is a pile of bull****.
Drones have been whacked plenty over the head with Nerfs.
For ****'s sake, you have got to take some serious role playing into perspective AT SOME POINT.
The ISHTAR is a DRONE CARRIER. PERIOD. It NEEDS to use LOTS OF DRONES to be functional. It has a gimpy grid and high CPU base, so it can accommodate a copious amount of drones and assisted bandwidth.
The ISHKUR is an ASSAULT FRIGATE. It is supposed to BLOW UP OTHER FRIGATES. Three guns and a nos is going to be about as worthy as my flippin Tristan. Taking its bandwidth away would be like replacing someone's .38 with a BB gun.
The DOMINIX is a DRONE BATTLESHIP. It has hordes of drones at it's disposal and lots of space to organize different types (logistical, dps, EW). You can't touch the Dominix.
The MOROS is a OMGHOLY**** DREADNOUGHT. Repeat after me: DREADNOUGHT. It is SUPPOSED to do INSANE amounts of damage to things. Removing the 50% per level bonus would only **** off players because Hybrids are easily the most resisted damage type to players now because everyone HARDENS against them.
Finally, -pant- the Megathron. It has a huge drone bay, no drone bonuses, but has lots of guns. It is a very well rounded ship, and uses blasters, which traditionally the Dominix does not. So leave it alone, too.
The only thing I can finally say is drones are fair. They have their role as an extension of your ship. But a targetable one. Do not whack droneboats further with more nerfs because as they are they are becoming less and less used. Note how I didn't mention the Eos. Why? Because it's barely used anymore, now that CCP "balanced" it. They balanced it so much it isn't worthy of really even flying anymore.
Way to go, CCP.

Isn't it because Heavy drones are battleship sized weapons?
And also, you know those heavy drones? They are battleship sized weapons. I'm off to the market to buy the heavy drones, you know the overpowered on a cruiser battleship sized weapons.
Anyway , get used to Ogres, because when you quit Eve you'll only have to deal with them in WoW

Ive got the feeling that you think of yourself as THE man who understands all the game mechanics and is uber in general, eh?
If you wanna discuss the Ishtar make a topic in the ships section and argue with the people over there, and anyway, they are free to think whatever they want.
Let em say Thorax is overpowered because it looks like a ****, who cares?
But meh, if you really feel like having to make them understand, you could also just hire us :P

- fix large armor reps on cruiser ships (logistics)

Can you really compare turrets and launchers to drones? 
All that really matters is that the efficiency of the ship is in line with its counterparts.

This is true also.
If you ever took a second to turn on sound in EVE, you would notice Ogres fire heavy neutron blasters, not mega neutron blasters.
Hammerheads fire light neutron blasters, and hobgobs fire light electron blasters.
It falls in line.
Sentry drones fire 350mm rails? (I dunno, my game is broken for some reason regarding sounds).
But yeah, it's totally fair.

Errr since when have drones sizes been classed to different ship classes? Your speaking outta your a$$ mate. Also you got to realise the ONLY cruiser sized ship that can carry 5 heavy drones is the Ishtar, which it is supposed to be able to do since that is its main offense. BS sized weapons my a$$. Also to reinforce my point about drones being classed to different ships, if they were CCP would of made it pretty much impossible to used on any other class of ship.
