OK First, ''not a single nerf'' is not a lie. It means ''many nerfs'' just like any other patch.
Note that the patch notes that are displayed with the installer do not match the patchnotes webpage. Only one ''critical'' is listed there (instead of three), and also those installer notes are cut off in the middle of ''Corporation'' issues, lopping off a section or two.
I'm an expert on preserving my game settings. It is getting tiresome having to figure out where my settings need to be placed for each patch. /end /LUA:OFF seems to do nothing after the patch. My guess is some dev was so hyped on getting the new 'separate settings per install' feature going that they forgot about the switch.
The new undocking behavior is crap: I urge everyone to file a bug report about it.
The anchored secure cans being deleted after 30 days need to be lengthened to 90 or 180 days (as discussed elsewhere)
Having a special day when drones/shuttles/etc that are left out over the downtime get deleted needs to be fixed. I leave out something on the 15th and it stays there 2 weeks, but if I leave something out on the 31st it get deleted immediately? Not well thought out.
You need a better QA department, and some sort of game designer to step in when the DBA tries to implement game features (the disappearing can and item idea)

Edited by: Miter on 13/03/2008 08:53:02 Bookmarks are kept on server and unless they purposely decree that they are deleting bookmarks, they do not get removed. Bookmark folders are kept on the client side and get happily deleted anytime settings are lost, such as after each and every patch.
Hint: If you start the EvE client, and you don't see your account name offered at the login area -- Congratulations! You have lost all settings.

I'm attempting to leave a trail of breadcrumbs so others can get thier client working.
It seems that ''/end /LUA:OFF'' is looking for/saving config files in <EvEDIR>/Settings instead of <EvEDIR>/cache/Setttings.

QFT and thanks for my new forum signature!
Right. Reporting a way to tell if your settings are lost is trolling. GG.
Well, thanks for spreading my message around, at least.
