Originally by: Kyra Felann If you want to see moons in space without pushing a key, here's how. Create an overview setting with moons and whatever else you want and save it. Create a new tab--call it celestial, scanning, whatever. Right-click that new tab and click "change bracket settings". Select the settings you saved. That should work (it does for me).
Keep in mind that brackets and overview filters are separate and that the "default" tab doesn't work like the other ones. It doesn't save and you can't change the brackets. This may be the source of the problems.
yes, this is exactly how it should work. setup an overview profile with celestials [moons] on it, and set it as the bracket. And yes, i'm sure the moons are showing, we just cant see them cos their bracket is a blank icon, hence, we cant see moons.
All the other changes here will be relatively easy to adapt to, if only ccp would give moons icons again, which i'm hoping is a bug.

Originally by: Karina Bellac I still trying to get my own ship to show a bracket, for lining up narrow directional scans.
One workaround for this is to simply use the tactical overview and zoom all the way out. It's not ideal, but enables you do do 5¦ scans easily (assuming you can find the damned moon that is!)

Quick question?
Did anyone bother to write a bug report about this? x up if so.
Because I don't want CCP Q&A posting here in a year saying "Oh, we didn't know this fault existed! Woes! Why did you not tell us? -cry-etc-"
It's a really bothersome fault though.
Give us back the aligning up scan icon on the ship. Give us back the moons. At least as a working bracket filter item!

If you can't see them, then it may be a bug on your particular installation, because I can see moon icons fine. Sometimes they overlap with planet icons if you're far away, but when I'm near a planet, I can see moon icons distinctly. They're circles with a little line or dot on the side. You can always just list them in an overview tab and then click the one you want.
But they do show up, at least for me, if you set up your brackets properly.

I doubt it's a bug. It's just misunderstanding over the new ways brackets work. I can see moon brackets fine. Also, ALT+Z works fine for me.
