AAA could not commit supers for two very good reasons.
1. Their titan fleet is outnumbered and had no idea if this was a trap set so they would get counter dropped by even more supers and killed.
2. If they commited and managed to kill all of the PL fleet their losses would have been horrible. They would have won, but it would have crippled their own titan fleet which would make their space even more vulnerable.
PL titans were not helpless, if they were they would have died. AAA did a fantastic job but in the end, if they had not pulled off they would have eventually been killed to a man by the titan which do track tengu. The argument about EHP is also rather laughable given that a titans EHP even when fit for tracking is still greater than many fleets.
So what you're saying is that the 72 supercaps that AAA and Solar got online didn't jump because they wanted to be able to kill supers without risking even a cap fleet of their own, they instead tried to take the same road as everybody else and pretend that eve ship classes stop at battleships and that that, is what they should be able to kill everything in EVE with. Sorry thats not how the game works. You can't kill a Battlship fleet with a frigate fleet, you might kill one or 2, but largely, you're not going to do anything to them, just like you can't kill a supercap fleet with battleships, you must use dreads, or the job simply won't get done. That is as it should be, Weaselior can cry all he wants, but until you use the ships in game that can kill titans, you won't kill titans and they'll always be a problem for your team.
400 frigates vs 80 or so BS, the frigates have a good chance of winning. Not so with anything vs titans. |

OK, enough of the foreplay. It's time for all of the elite players in the game to finally tell the silly children in Goons how wrong they've been.
Will one of you please explain how, say a younger alliance with 10,000 players with 30 titans, can take space from an old alliance, rich on tech with 1000 members and 100+ titans?
This is going to be EPIC! I can't wait to see all of the Goons freaking out about how obvious the answer is!
I mean DUHHH!
Go ahead.

Which, I'm sure, would retain more bitter old vets if it was improved, than just having "big ships to train for". "Oh boy oh boy oh boy I get to activate yet another 1 month skill THIS GAME IS EXCITING NOW." |

I thought for sure with all this talk about how the Goons were simply using the wrong tactics that there was some way to do it. Just something quick?
Guess the Goons might have a point then.

So, grath, when do we have enough titans in enough alliances that we have to get CCP to design a ship above titans, so bitter vets have ~some content~ to train for? |

Grath's apparently done with this game and doesn't want to have to figure out anything more complicated than "do we have more of the big things than the other guys do?" to get his semi-annual fleet battle on.
Please think of the bitter vets so they don't have to! What a travesty it would be if everyone who didn't want large scale engagements to be any more complicated than "bring more of a single unit type than the other guy" just logged off forever because you made it too hard for them! |

Futur content may include but is not limited to a death star w/ AoE. After the inevitable nerf we will be left with tracking death stars. After that inevitable nerf (and related forum complaining) will come super star juggernaughts (SSJ for short) I and II. I think you can see where this is going. The end of the Eve time continuum

If it's the titan itself, I think we have an infinite loop error in our programming. |

If you've ruled out capitals its your own fault and you are in fact the idiot, because they are what you need to field.

We've collected over 6 trillion isk in the past 365 days, so, maybe not.

Moon income is ran differently in PL than most alliances who 'nationalize' moons, or let corps own them, so that the common man never sees a dime of it and just gets ships replaced or a spreadsheet of expenditures.
Here a moon is given a caretaker (literally anybody can be a caretaker) and they pay the alliance a fee every month to control the tower, this amounts to just about half what the towers make, so if a moon makes 8 billion a month, the player caretaker gets 4 and the alliance gets 4.
Thus the whole of our moon take over the past year is 6 trillion, split into the alliance getting 3, and the members of the allaince getting 3 trillion. The alliance income is then used to manipulate the market, we invest the cash, and the profit from that is then turned into new titans and supercarriers, plus a modest hictor/dictor/logistics reimbursement program, and a supercap replacement program. Contract isk then goes to replace mainline ships used in the completion of a contract (BS/Tengus).
This model insures maximum participation during moon defense, people show to defend your moons because they want people to defend their moons.
Blawrf McTaggart wrote:did grath really just scream DEVSWARM FEDERATION
Are you denying that one of the lead guys is an ex goon who seems to always push forward changes that benefit your alliance?
I mean, the older players in the game remember this happening before, and in many of our opinions Soundwave was the worst possible choice for a lead guy as he has well known player connections still.
Who knows, maybe you're a new goon and you weren't around when he still played. |

this game has come down to mittani Saying something at csm and ordering 8000 people to spamm the forum on the matter and ccp ''thinking'' Oh .. i guess thats what people want
ive always wondered how mittani can be in CSM .. its been shown several times how he Leaks Inside info to hes own alliance .. goonswarm recieved news on the super nerf way before enyone els . last time i checked Leaking info and trying to influence ccp for your own benefit wasent allowed .. but it seems like that rule has been removed lately
Props to mittani for manipulating everyone around him and having hes way with ccp and gettin all hes enemy's nerfed instead of teaching hes fc's to command a fleet .
formula must be something like
x beats goons = its overpowered and needs fixing |
