It was nicely organised and executed. We cynoed into D7 station and started popping all the cariers and mom that are always hanging out there :)

Hell of a fight. Lag was ok at the beginning but the last 5 mins I couldnt lock a single ship and new drones/fighters would not launch.
*sigh* I'll say it again, get your act together CCP.

Well, I think MM figured what we were up to which was baiting the titans, and were onlining all the cyno jammers as we passed through systems with our "roaming" gang. I didn't think our fishing was going to work after you started to online the d7- jammer and then our cyno pilot getting a little keen with f1-f6 and putting up a cyno. I'm not sure at what point though you thought it was a good idea to warp in 2 super caps + support to a station when we already had a cyno up lulz.
Now you'll never know if we're roaming or if we're just titan bait ;)

Next time you guys decide to hotdrop on us, let me know in advance...I'll sacrifice my carrier for some epic fun. I always seem to miss out on these kind of fights and it really sucks...but from what I hear it was a good fight and well planned out. |

Im more concerned about those 14 motherships Tri had. How many more do they have? they will have like 50 odd motherships soon its kinda scary. Maybe even scarier than BoB have been over the past few years

Very frustrating fight. We had caps all over en route but completely bogged down in lag, people entering game or loading system for 30 minutes solid. I've definetely never experienced lag that bad with only 130 in system, and adjacent systems were as bad or worse. Our 'masterplan' for victory was apparently partially thwarted by a stealth nerf to the way ship radii work. And even the SMS broadcast ended up delayed for many people, dunno why that was.
The home advantage of easy reinforcements we should have had was completely lost. I'm not pretending the outcome would have been much different without lag. (We might have just lost more caps if we were able to get more into the fight ). But it was epicly frustrating staring at a couple of frozen clients and just listening to it all. I'd like to say gf but it wasn't for many of us sorry  Hopefully next time.

Well, this was in a way, our way of getting more non-capital fights with MM. I am hoping they will think twice about DD'ing our gangs now when we fly through their space, and instead fight with regular ships.
If people keep working out ways to kill caps and super caps then more and more people will be reluctant to use them.
However it may be a good idea to make normal caps non-insurable or insurable like T2 ships to make it really hurt when you lose them.

also forgot to mention that we wont be able to roam in small gangs anymore to aovid big fleet fights like this with super caps galore, becuase the eve universe will be to small and it will have like 100k players connected at peak times. The only winner out of this would be CCP with there 1 million subscibers and there 17 odd million dollars a month

I think you're being a little pessimistic here. Flying caps is mostly boring.. waiting possibly hours undocked waiting for the order to jump, usually involves lots of lag due to blob and fighter swarms, and less risk taking cuz u don't want to loose a 20bil isk ship.

MOM fighter swarms are notorious for creating lag bombs, which I saw first hand fighting bob :(

please... nano gangs don't look for fights, they look for ganks. As long as you roam through our home, be prepared for the DD'ing. especially against your nano gangs.

Was the Nyx you killed not moving for some reason or did you bump him around all the time? Those Phoenixes did far more damage than they should have, usually they do almost no damage on MS due to explosion velocity (fix it CCP btw.).

Of course we don't look for fights. That's why we roam around until we get said fights (check the killboard, we had one in B80 with Insurgency about 20 minutes ago).
Also, no the nyx was not moving, all the carriers/moms were told to approach it to stop it warping out.

Just because you get ganked by them doesn't mean they aren't looking for fights.

Implement the remote doomsday similar to the remote eccm burst on a mom, with a similar reload. Now that would be a dogfight. bbq clusters within a 25k point radius every 5 minutes with maxed skills.

For my part (not necessarily reflective of the general views of MM), stop flying nano and then we'll talk. I haven't had a fight in months that didn't involve either nano ships or a blob/capitals.
I miss 2005 and 2006.

A.) I don't own a supercap.
B.) I don't like flying my capital ships, though they're a necessary evil nowadays. Once the initial enjoyment of simply owning them wore off, I discovered I'd much rather have a ship that can reposition itself on the field without having to warp out, can use gates, doesn't have to wait for buddies with cynos, etc.
I mostly just use my carrier for logistics and as a force equalizer (i.e. if you bring a gang of 30 people and we only have 17 people to oppose you, I'm more likely to bring it to the fight since otherwise we're at a distinct disadvantage). My dreadnought? Stays in dock, mostly, unless it's needed to kill enemy caps.
EDIT: Close range TRI BS gangs? I haven't seen one of those in months. I'm not on during TRI's prime time, though. As an aside, I also make a distinction between "gang" and "blob".

Wrayeth you seem like a nice guy but tbh its hard to hear anything like that from MM when you guys use multiple carriers/MS + Titans up to in some cases literally 3 DDs on our 10-20 man roaming gangs. MM is one of the biggest cap/super cap whoring alliances in the game and if you really want non-cap fights seems like you would be happier in another alliance.
FYI I totally agree with you dread POS ops are boring as hell and assigning fighters from a POS is boring too. Major cap fights can be fun and warping carriers in on fleet battles is fun but Id rather use BS/HACs. Thats why I got an alt over a Nyx so I can cap and BS/HAC during ops.

We use DDs to counter nanos and you use nanos to avoid capitals. Tactics entering a bad spiral but we get kinda protective when it comes to our home systems.

GF is often more a sign of respect after a battle/gank. Lets not hide what this was it was a large scale gank, but as Sith has said ALOT of our roaming gangs are Doomsdayed or blobbed with carriers and Dreads. I guess thats fair enough, its your system and your ships defend however you want too, but you cannot turn around and blame us for blobbing you when you do it on a daily basis. We see an enemy get predictable with capital ships/supercapitals and we will take advantage and i dont believe for a second that if any alliance out there had an opportunity to kill a capital gang they would tell members not to join the gang because they didnt want it to be unfair.
Our nano gangs are looking for fights the whole thing about nano's is yes they do get alot of ganks because theyre quick moving and fast locking, but in a fight against greater numbers a pilots skill can protect him while doing damage to a target. There are counters to it, we do lose entire nano gangs and nano does not = win it takes alot of effort and you have to pay very close attention to every ship on the opposite side.
Anyway the majority of MM took it well and acknowledged a good trap, so respect to those people.

Gotta vouch for em, they did have around a 13 man BS gang that ran into us. Props for sticking around and fighting instead of running like most people would, it was fun, GF.

good way to counter BS like this and to no destroy the game..
limit the amount of supercaps or even total numbers of caps in one grid or even system, make it more limited for neutral/reds..
but limit it for the defending party aswell but the homeplayer should have a slight advantage..
above certain amount of supercaps/caps you would start damaging your own caps by the gravity distortion they produce in that grid/system
like somebody posted before this is becoming caps online
ccp should start getting there act together or they will just have to face the consequences..
tri always pats thereselfes on the back when they won a fight and come with a full list of excuses when they lost one, there comments on there losses board speaks for themselfes.. reminds me of bob
i left the kb padding way behind me and play for fun, something what is less and less doable by every day passing by (i found out many people share this opinion)
