I don't know about Caldari or other shield ships, but a lot of the time with Minni shield tanks Regolith fitting is handy, especially on Arty builds, and/or before fitting skills are maxed out.

Make F-S9 Regolith Shield Extender as good as tech II shield extender with lowered fitting costs.
There, now they follow the armor plating logic.

You can't manufacture named items so ofc F-S9's would become more expensive.
I'll sign this only when my armor will recharge over time.

Wouldn't it be sweet to have XL shield extenders? I mean, the drake already has a pretty badass passive tank but just think of what sort of passive tank you could jam on a Raven.
Wait. . . there's something wrong with my idea but I can't quite put my finger on it. . .

You want to make 1600mm plates in line with shield extenders. Sure that's easy just reduce the hp increase on rolled tungsten to 3600 hp.
For both extenders and plates t2 has 40% more hp than t1. But where the best named shield extender has only 20% more hp the best named armor have 40% more. So it's not a case of t2 plates not being good enough, it's best named plates that are too good.
Oh and t2 extenders have a higher penalty than best named just like plates 25m vs 21m signature increase. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

Sure, if you give me a battleship class shield extender.
P.S. I like the differing tanking philosophies just the way they are. __________________________________________________ Sup brosef! Destry's Lounge is looking for a few good drunks - contact me in game.

You got one, the large shield extenders. Just because you get a cookie in the shield booster department (XL) doesnt mean you deserve to get one in the extender department.
P.S : I do too

I understand that this is not the main point of argument, but you should note the difference between armor plates and shield extenders. No, there is no BS class shield extender. The 1600mm armor plate is the "true" battleship while the 800mm is a "somewhere in between" module, actually more suited to cruisers, if even that (you can stil jam 1600mm plates to cruisers). The same goes with the shield boosters, XL is the true battleship module while large is more suited to cruisers. The large shield extender is only fit to BS because there is nothing else to fit that gives you shield hp. But compare its hp gain to the plates and you will see that it is in no way a battleship sized module. Not when you can "easily" fit 3 of these to a cruiser with some compromises to fitting.
P.S. I am not saying it should be changed, but the statement made was false -----sig-----
