This fact is really a shame that CCP failed to create mechanisms to avoid.
In this game you need to avoid help each other because you can be scammed any time, it is a shame.
Really something to sorry about.
I think it should be considered a exploit and the people involved to be banned forever! |

Dude, it has been fixed, in the last patch, relax and go enjoy the game. CONCORD now responds to fleet aggression regardless of war declaration or not. At least that is what I inferred from the patch notes.
Originally by: Patch Notes Joining a Fleet with a player who is currently involved in a war will no longer make you a valid target in that war. CONCORD will now respond if a player who is not involved in a war is aggressed within a gang in High Security space.
Could someone verify that I am correct in my assumption? |

If you're looking for inoffensive resource gathering and dress up, this isn't quite the right environment.
That pretty much proves to me that you didn't read it, but was it really that hard to guess with your reply?
No, my intent was that "I don't like people abusing in-game mechanics to cheat. Every other means of tricking players to become hostile and die is perfectly fine, because they don't abuse in-game mechanics, and isn't cheating. However, forcing someone to lose their "protection" from CONCORD merely by an in-game mechanic implemented to prevent cheating, is still considered cheating if misused."
I don't mind PvP. I don't mind losing a ship I've spent billions on. I don't mind being podded. Hell, I wouldn't mind running into a gate-camp, being tricked to fire at someone when they merely lock me and taunt me. Hell, I wouldn't mind being suicide ganked.
However. I WOULD mind people using in-game mechanics to make me fair game to be slaughtered without the overall choice being in my hands. I have a choice to fly through that gate. I have a choice to fire at that player. And while I don't overly have a choice with being suicide ganked, they're still losing their ships to CONCORD as well, so it's in-game mechanics as they were intended.
However, while it IS my choice to help who I think is a new player, it's NOT my choice to flag myself as "At War" with his the corp of all of his buddies, and thus allow them to gank me without worry of CONCORD in high-sec. It's abusing in-game mechanics, and isn't the same as all of the other methods to destroy a ship and be a pirate. |

Holy ****, are you a smart one or what?
Did you not read the intro to this game? This is a world where the corporations rule mate. You are an escaped slave boy, and your rase SUCK.
If you want HELP, you are to join a CORP. If your CORP gets into trouble because they are to small, get into an ALLIANCE. And did your mother not teach you NOT to talk to strangers? And scammers? I have not been scammed ONE time yet in this game by a person I met in space. I have been playing this game on and off for a VERY long time.
H*LL, just a few months ago a nice man I met in space paid me 150 million isk to leave his Exhumers alive and teach him how to fit them to avoid being ganked. That guy was a complete stranger and I had to put him in a pod 4 times before he understood why he should not try and further the caldari cause.
I sent him and quite a few other to your regions. And it sure was no scam. I was totaly open and straight forward talking with my guns and drones the whole time. |

I have been hearing alot of people saying how wrong this kind of scaming is but more people saying how VInanath Dieselshould just get over it and that he deserved it.
That is just out of order I'm sorry but this guy get's scewed over and people are kicking him while he's down?
Worse thing I have seen is loads of Newbies falling for this and becouse they can't pay from being so new and not having the isk they get taken out and just give up on the game.
Yes Pirating to me is acceptable and I have been taken down by pirates prefering to go down fighting than give any Isk to them. Most they get are the odd modual and some ammo fro there time and trouble
But these scams have to be stopped in my opinion as they can't be doing any good to the games reputation when people who scam can just get away with it like this.

Your words are scaring brainless dude.
Have your ever heard about casual players or newbies, I think not.
You have started playing this games as a PRO huh?
My mother also taught me to don't troll other people like you just did, maybe you have lost this lesson from yours.

Eve is an MMO and you should be able to help and socialize with people. But now when someone asks for help, it's better to treat him like a leper, because if you don't, chances are big that it's a scam and you're going to be mugged.
There is no way to prevent these things from happening (besides never talking to and never flying with another person - ever), and once again, there aren't any consequences for these little brats that commit these crimes.
Just like it would be in real life deep space where everyone uses a space ship to travel fancy that.
