I wasn't sure where to put this story on the forum so I chose the Crime and Punishment section. Move it to another section if you think that this isn't the proper section for it (message to mods).
So I bought a myrmidon from Jita and fitted it out for a npcing setup because I wanted to npc in Venal. I head towards that way when I jump into a tribute system and a crow scrambles me on the gate. I run back to the gate and jump and then I go back to the gate and jump to the system with the crow (I'm impatient and I wanted to get to Venal tonight).
Now there is a hugin and a crow (I think I'm screwed at that point). I mwd towards the gate and then activate the cloak. I move towards the gate and eventually there about 5-8 ships trying to uncloak me but I keep avoiding them. So I take a break and go to bed and read a book because I want to keep moving away from the gate without actually spending time on my computer.
I come back about an hour later and I find out that I'm in Orvolle. WTF? I lost my ship and got podded too and I'm confused because I checked the computer about 30 minutes ago and I was 60km away from the gate and it would have been really hard to uncloak me. I check my combat log.

Thats right. They cynoed in a titan to get a cloaked myrmidon.... I don't whether this is brilliant or the lamest thing I have ever seen in Eve. The titan pilot said that he was in that system all along with his titan and nobody cynoed it in but I don't know if I believe him.
I just think that this is lame, if you can't win without using a titan then you probably don't deserve to win. (Please excuse my typing mistakes)

If he had a titan why shouldn't he use it? Sounds like a fairly effective method of destroying your ship, I would have done the same if I had one and my corp mates told me there's a cloaked ship in system within 100km of the gate.
Just because all you have is a myrmidon doesn't make it lame for another person to use a bigger better ship. There is nothing wrong with someone doing something just because he can.

I do not understand, did he fly in and doomsday the grid killing the myrm whether he was cloaked or not?
I thought you could not be discovered if cloaked.

Doomsday is like a super-smartbomb. It will damage you whether you are cloaked or not as long as you are in the volume of effect.
You can be decloaked if another ship gets within 2000m of you. Pods can't cloak..
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |

Wow epic fail... But pretty damn funny, you now have a lossmail to a titan where nobody else died at the same time. 
I know I'll have a lossmail similar to yours soon, only thing is the Titan pilot is someone I know and he'll just do it to laugh at me

You're not the first one this has happened to. Seems the Evoke KB ate the mail, but Tom McCash DDed a cloaked Phalanx Alliance Deimos in EC- couple months back.

yeah that was fun, not cause something died, more because he was sort of smacking us in local and talking about how untouchable he is in his cloaked deimos.
we even told him to check his scanner few seconds before the DD went off :S

My vote would be lamest. But a hilarious lossmail for you to hang on to for all eternity.
Your single myrm would have surely disrupted the security and integrity of their space. Good thing they brought out the heavy hitters to prevent this calamity.

Maybe. But at what point do we start calling something overkill? Even if it were a Maelstrom instead of a Titan, technically it might be overkill. It probably sucks being a Titan pilot, you're stuck in your ship and if you're itching to get on a kill everyone is going to scream overkill. It's like the blob thing. "Ok guys, who's going to stay docked so we don't get accused of blobbing?"

Anyone else reminded of throwing a stick of dynamite into a pond to kill the fish? That's kinda the same example as DD'ing an entire system to kill one cloaked Battlecruiser.
As an aside, I had NO idea the DD's range was that large! what is the max range of the DD or is it different for each race's Titan?

Cyno (if they had to cyno it in, which I doubt.) = ~200k
DD = ~15-20m
