I would say "No, we don't run from BoB gangs" but I think all BRUCEs know the answer, and so do all BoBs - that's good enough for me. Do we neccssarily win those fights every time via isk comparison? Heck no! Would you really expect us to? :lol: We have a great time, we learn from it, and we move on. I think UNNAT and Recon would probably agree that we can be plenty aggressive when we have reason, means, and need. Even if BRUCE gets punted from Fountain - and with all due respect to the fine gentlemen in Delve, that'll take effort, though it's certainly a possibility - "our time" will not "come to an end." That's how I know that the original poster (I was going to abbreviate the name, but it would've been filtered )is probably not a BRUCE. Do we love Fountain? Sure. Would we be unhappy to lose it? Definitely. Would we lose a few members? Certainly. Even if we get punted, though, we have plans in place, and we'll keep right on moving. The "fat" members who joined BRUCE because of where we were will depart - the "lean" ones who joined us for the ideals, for the philosophy, and the family will move on, and keep growing. Alliances die from a lack of goals and a lack of vision, not a lack of space. I think you'd be surprised just how many will remain on our rosters. In the meantime, we'll enjoy the pew-pew, and continue trading punches with UNNAT, PL, and BoB. Who could possibly teach you more about PVP than these guys? We're not the next industrial alliance, something we've demonstrated repeatedly already and conveniently forgotten because we don't crow about our accomplishments or wave an e-peen killboard. (No disrespect to those who do, it's just not our thing.) We're learning a lot from fighting PL and BoB, and that'll only continue. It's great stuff. We're no one's pet, never will be, and we're proud of it. Doomsay all you like - BRUCE will be here when you are gone. LONG LIVE THE BRUCES! o/

I dont see them accepting a 'pet' status from BOB at all, I do see is that their recent moves against recon they have bought themselves a retreat point in case BOB dose invade. If BOB does strike BRUCE and if they do pull towards the old reconing area, Triumviate will be in for a rough time as from what I heard they couldnt handle CVA so I doubt they can handle bruce.

Your response time is amazing tbqh. And yes i certainly know that. I also agree that i have never seen a Bruce gang run away from fight so far. Your care bears ratting in system yes, a lot smaller gangs then ours yes but when equal or (usually) bigger gang of Bruce then our roaming gang is there they always delivered. Do they win? Well no, not in Ships killed numbers nor in ISK value, but they do often hold the field. What's more impressive is that they appear to have a solid FC structure able to keep their forces in check and commit to the strategy they have chosen to engage with no matter losses. Sure -- their tactics lack pilot experience still to execute flawlessly, but that happens to any force from time to time until everyone sharpens up. We're doing our bit to help them sharpen their teeth & tactics when someone who's actually interested in soverenity comes knocking .

They have a faster response time than many alliances that claim to be eliteomgpvpers, and from recent experiences they always seem up for a fight, which is great to see considering many of them arent hardcore pvpers. They don't smack in local, they don't whine when they lose a ship and blame everyone and their mother, instead they seek to better their performance and adapt. I've fought against them a few times and they have given me some of my favorite pvp moments. Their ability to amass a fleet of over 100 battleships in under 15 minutes is simply amazing, they don't smack talk on local, and they know its all for the fun and enjoyment of EVE. (I brought my corp to BRUCE on May 2007). We earn our space via blood, and keep it via blood. BRUCE has never been a tenant, and it will never happen in the future. Unlike most large space holding alliances (except perhaps Morsus Mihi), BRUCE doesnÆt have carebear tenants in our space, or renters outside it. We donÆt demand tribute from neighbors. BRUCE isnÆt interested in holding more space than we can hold or use.. we have given away space for free many times in the past. We look for friends that want to fight for space which they can call their own. We arenÆt isk farmers/EBAYers, nor suffer them to live in any way in our space or neighboring space. All BRUCE corps fight. We only bring in corporations who are both well organized, experienced, and with a strong background of PvP. BRUCE corporations are of a similar mind on major goals. By collecting corporations with common attitude and purpose, BRUCE corporations are very tightly woven together and wonÆt bust apart easily. BRUCE rarely talks on CAOD, we donÆt smack in local, and we try to be as straightforward as possible with our friends and enemies (although we donÆt always achieve that). We have been generous (sometimes too generous) to those we have displaced. We expect similar, and react poorly to smack, ultimatums, or commands. BRUCE isnÆt like BoB, TRI, Goons, KOS, Youwhat, FREGE, or any other alliance really. Looking for such comparisons will be fruitless. Please visit your user settings to re-enable images. BRUCE apparently was very scared of MC cap fleet so they spent most of the MC/BRUCE war docked up even if they outnumbered MC 10-1 in local. Admittedly, there fears were realised when they did manage to rally a massive 200 man fleet against MC and in got Doomsdayed. After there fleet got doomsdayed, they found out about an abandoned outpost/station in 0.0 and they moved there. No, they did not build or fight for the outpost. If they could not handle a small alliance like MC on the edge of empire, it stands to reason they won't be able to withstand an assault by any major force deep in 0.0.

Enough to be called ebil blobbers very often from ppl, who lost a battle. I always prefered to be called äbruce bearô. As a äbruce bearô, you have to meet much lower expectations than as äwestern power blockô or just äsuperpowerô. I consider myself more a carebear than pvper. I rather like to be the underdog. You prolly get more juicy roaming gangs. Some good enemy roaming gangs are very successful and kill Bruce faction BS or marauders etc. - you know. (and some are not so successful) Here are the high lights from my last battle in a BOB system with Bruce + North: BOB carrier blob û fighter lag û BOB conventional fleet jumps in û desync û wallet blinking with insurance isk û only 1 tempest with 1400mm guns on pod kill mail. I assume, the Bruce leaders intend to defend Fountain the same way like BOB defend their space. But if you are nice and bring no capitals or too big fleet to take a cyno jammer down, we can always have some fun. ps: I would love to see lost battles for BOB in the fleet battle overview on their killboard. You win enough, everybody knows, you are very good and an estabilished superpower. Why do you not want to show, if you lose sometimes?
