Everything Above is wrong. The best looking ship in the game is the Curse. The black, with the black plates and the blue lights, it's a site to see.
Perhaps the only thing that can top the curse are EOM Geddons.

My jag with my current graphics setting is camo colored with the silver wing extensions. When I pull into a bank a cool light blue streams out the afterburner. That ship is simple rock star for me now.

Nyx, Navy Mega. I also kind of like the look of the Thanatos.
I'd add the Navy Raven as well if Caldari would for once build something that actually looks symmetrical. The shorter wing just looks kind of silly (and I still haven't figured out the point of camouflage in space).

Rifter -- it's just so cool
Hurricane
Probe -- cool sail
Nighthawk -- black is always in fashion
Curse -- see Nighthawk comment
And I love the Minmitar jump gates. They look like a bastardized Eiffel Tower with green fire.
For bad looking ships I have to say the Sac looks like a shoehorn and the Drake looks like a shin guard or a big chunck of tree bark.

I would have to say the EOM ships look great... If you could buy one, I'd put down a couple bil... and I don't have that much yet... I'd grind for it, and I hate grinding...
For player ships, I guess I'd say I like the firetail, although some of the T2 minnie ships look great w/ a red sky behind them.

I'd bet my 5 cents on the Thorax, sleek sleek ship to behold (we're talking visuals).
On a more aggresive side, the EOS shinny hull is also a magnificient ship.
I also love the Amarr greenies: Vengeance and Malediction, they sure rock.

I hate the megathron, looks like a giant space clown shoe. But most of the gallente fleet i really like, curvy asymetry is win.
Amarr ships are damned sexy, besides the harbringer.. not quite sure what it is about it, its just.. meh.
Basically, theres so many for me to list! love the ship design in eve.

Nidhoggur/Cane (nid being sexier) looks mint.
Naglfar as it's one of the only 'upright' ships in the game, very unique looking and very cool. Looks uber firing.
