Feeling a bit nostalgic here, so, um, taking our minds back to the beta days, whether you participated or posted on the forums or read stuff in magazines and on websites, you may have noticed alot of lovely things being promised. Oh, how these things excited me (not in that way!), its such a shame that some of them never saw the light of day.
So, anyway, i decided to make a thread on it, where people can say what features they loved the sound of and all that stuff :) .
For me, it would have to be the promise of ships having 'tracking codes' and stations having logs of which ships had docked, I remember this distinctly because it was supposedly going to be the way of tracking people down, what a marverlous idea it was too. I think it would really make bounty hunting fun, narrowing down the region, then the constellation and finally the system someone is in, searching for places that their target frequents often, heck, its such a good idea that if it had been implemented I might be aiming to be a bounty hunter today. But as it is, you just get an agent to do it, and thats all there is to it .
So, what features got you excited?

The tacticle war fare idea, the thorugh of having hacking as a part of combat, the possibility for huge fleet battles...

Sorry, Actionvault Journal, I got confused by the name.

The Contract system was supposedly the way how large corps could make a deal with eachother, enforced by the game rules. EG, bring x amount of ore/day to station y for z amount of days, upon breaking the contract, pay A isk's, if not, get B isks.
Same with entering into merc contracts, trade agreements, business alliances, etc.
Escrow (and to a lesser extent the old courier system) always looked to me like a watered down version of the above. No idea what the plans are for it now.

endless list :), let's see,
stockmarket, serial numbers, (shipnames + serial numbers shown in space instead of char name would be soo cool) way to change char appearance (clothing/hair but not facial structure) after creation implants showing up on char portrait,
but best of all:
unique additions to char portraits, i remember stuff like kwai's alpha char having these weird glasses for example, you know, just having unique upgrades that make you 'leet'.

remeber when you could defend your gang mates...but it broke the cops for some reason? man I missed that...you could actually escort people and defend your self and if you were attacked ina belt in a 0.3 at the very least EVERYONES drones could launch for the kill.
why did ccp just drop that instead of fixing it? they don't have good enough AI to protect people so let us protect our selves.

Have an option to turn it off or on, for all those PKS that dont want stuck with a query box popping up ...and those at war shouldnt have to worry much about it.

My wife plays the game, reads the forums, knows my online nick and (most importantly) sits less than 5 feet behind me when I'm working. I have to be very delicate when I post something that may result in a frying pan to the back of the head. :) With that in mind, I will refrain from mentioning <actress' name removed for sake of health> in any way, shape or form.

Interbus. Contraband (I hear it's in the works..again) Casino's Stockmarket
and something I liked in beta that was removed for some odd reason. Manuvering your ship around with the Ctrl + arrow keys. It would just turn your ship a certain degree. Maybe with that I wouldn't get stuck on so many 'roids/stations.

yep, i remember that story, the rentacop cargo scanner chick, heh. looks like CONCORD gets another player function... with any luck we'll be able to "report" findings, heh. i say heh a lot, hehhhh.

Yeah i remember that.. was really hard to maneuver that way. If they bring it back it should be made easier to control.

Blackmarket. Better UI on the HUD. Implants that changed you portrait. Corp buy and sell orders. NPCs mining and convoys at gates. Ship towing. A tracking device like in the PotW "prey miner". ----------------------------------------- Sig rented by Drethen Nerevitas. |

Anyone got more info on the casino? If they added a casino/bar area to select stations, it would be cool. If the interface looked like a bar you could just add peoples pics behind it at mid chest lvl. Let people play some simples card and random games, broker deals, ect. Would be especially great if they go with a blackmarket and have a chance of getting busted.

Upgrade ( see the thread U.I. ) -I think NPC mining and hauling is a brilliant idea ( to Lola) -Imps showing on your pic, and ability to change clothing. -As good a stock market as the market system already is in the game. -Blackmarket -Casino (both npc and pc like) (with a few other games, maybe some wierd futuristic bar games that some funky people made in the world of eve, maybe even different ones with each station/region/\or race stations.( oh and deffeenetly 8-ball )) -Ability to see your ship slowly building when in production, some really cool effects like the ex-armor repairers. -The Implant system Discorparation mentioned earlier, (Actionvault Journal) -Stuff you can add to your char, such as hats, glasses, eyepatches (for the pirates mateys), jewelry, etc. (all in game after making the char)
