anyone notice your ships dont get replaced anymore this last year?, I havent had a ship replaced in so long its not even funny, even with proof or screenshots seems noone really cares anymore, they dont care it took a lot of hard work to get the isk for your ship they dont care its server lag or timer screw ups in low sec, wheres the customer support that used to care about us?, 3 weeks to answer petitions, and it takes so long to answer you you get tired of waiting so you stop checking the petition only to find out someone finally did 3 weeks later and since you forgot it was still open its now been closed due to inactivity, its like grrrrrr, if their was a way to poll how we are all satisfied with our support would be nice to see how they would rate on a poll, anyway ccp get on the ball many unhappy people!!!!!!!

Well, there are unhappy people and then there are people who understand that CCP just can't be handing out free ships to anyone who asks.
Not saying that's your particular situation, but I'm guessing you haven't been in a situation where there was indisputable proof that you lost a ship to the client and not your own error. But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started.

TLDR but I seen the part about ships, probably far too many requests and they can't pour resources into replacing ships constantly, get insurance deal with it like everyone else.

im gunna bet its this. No doubt they are swamped with ridiculous claims and petitions as well from players who afked in war times, want to vent against hi sec griefing etc etc.
This one occasion I undocked from a station to find two war targets camping me in. I got back into dock range in a shuttle, but it was popped. Despite the "docking request accepted" thingy coming up, no killmail for pod, war targets admitting that they didnt even target my pod etc when I docked I "docked" into a clone vat, loosing a good set of implants.
It took around a week or more of petitioning and escalations before I think anyone even bothered to do more then give out the copy/paste response of "server logs show nothing". Thats poor customer service IMO.
Im be tolerant of lag and unstable servers, particularly after patches. Im content to wait out petitions if needs be to get the right answer. Im a long term customer thats pumped a fair enough amount into ccp's coffers. Im ok with all of this BUT just throwing out generic responses that basically translate into "p1ss off- I cba dealing with your petition" really arent good enough.
My advice is to consider if its truely a legit claim. If so keep on it. Dont take the lowest "filter" rung as the end of story. Tbh, I dont understand why they even have this rung. People will being auto escalating it past the GM level.

CCP cares about its paying customers... but do they care about its playing customers? NOPE.
You see there are two types of people here... 1. PAYING CUSTOMERS
2. PLAYING CUSTOMERS
You figure it out... you're smart... I think.

Sir you are a genius.
To the OP, congratulations. Your stalwart refusal to use periods, coupled with your determination to create a giant run-on sentence by adding commas after question marks, has won my admiration. ___ Victory smiles upon those who anticipate the changes in the character of war, not upon those who wait to adapt themselves after they occur. ~Guilio Douhet |

I for one always wonder why the people who complain that they are never getting reimbursed always seem to be able to complain about a large number of petitions that didnŠt go true. Seems to me that the gmŠs are busy with a few hundred people that petition everything and clog the petition line, and i can understand if they donŠt bother investigating when someone lost their ship for the 29th time and has petitioned all of them
I have played now for 2 years and i so far only had one loss related to eve issues (one rat instakilled my shield and amour)didnŠt bother to petition a t1 raven. Lost 2 because i was downloading/doing other stuff on the computer (did you know that most of what people call server lag is your computer sucking. When modules refuse to start thats lag, 0,001 fps is your computer) I also lost a few ships to fleet battle lag(when sitting there prepared to jump in towards 150 hostiles you know everyone will lag, part of the game)
But back to point, exactly what is it you are petitioning as losses as? what kinda of super bug hunter are the people that manage to loss ships to bugs/server issues/exploits every month? many people here seem to be sending petitions as a day time hobby.

Maybe they should limit petitions to 2 per character/year without caring if the petiotion went true or not. that way before people petiotion they would do 2 things
1, Think was this a real loss due to issues or am i a whining *****? 2, Ad some thought to the petition, not write "lost my ship to bug, ****ed of, want new one asap now move it you damn lazy kitten"
With the right to lift the limit encase of broken patch (ya will be need about every second patch)

This. 3 reimbursement petitions in 18 months, 2 granted, one not.
To repeat something I said in a thread a couple of weeks ago:
Too many people confuse "Waah, I didn't get my own way" with poor customer service.
The game is a sandbox: to the individual, it may seem like there's no reason not to reimburse a ship - it's not like it costs CCP anything, right? But replacing a ship you lost legitimately (and remember: lag losses are explicitly NOT reimbursable) is to deprive the other side of a victory and deprives the miner who mind the minerals for the ship you have to now buy and the manufacturer who makes it of income, it deprives the pirate a chance to gank you as you fly it back to where you live, it deprives the side you're at war with an opportunity to kill you again before you can get it to your home station.
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |

lol
This is what the in-game ship insurance is for.... its insurance against "lag".
CCP doesn't reimburse for lag AT ALL. When I lost a ship in a trade session (no one got the ship, it just "vanished" I got it back within minutes to a petition. But loosing a ship in combat is not reimbursible. If someone/thing is shooting at you dont bother to file a petition as it wont be given back.
being shot at is "normal gameplay" and the logs will show that a) you were shot at and b) you died - how the heck would those logs inspire a GM to give the ship back?!?! |

CCP cares about its customers in general, yes. CCP does not have the manpower, however, to care really much about each individual customer. So unless you pay for your own personal customer support person you will have to get in line with the rest. -------- Ideas for: Mining Clouds

This.
4+ years of play and I've only petitioned a ship loss once. My alt got ganked heading back to Empire in a frigate. The gate wouldn't activate because the attacker had just convo'd me. Known exploit, ship returned.
I've heard plenty of otherwise apparently nice people advising others to petition if there's the slightest wiff of an issue. A couple of months ago we were fighting in a war. One guy lost his BS. A minute later the node stalled (it came back eventually). Several people advised the guy to petition saying that "It's close enough to the stall that they may give it back".
If that's what sensible people do I dread to think what the great unwashed hordes of spotty oiks are doing to the petition queue. -- (Sarcastic mission running veteran, 4+ years)

Unfortunately, they have the space MMO marketplace to themselves
I wouldn't use the petition for ship replacement argument to determine whether they care or not though, a GM is pretty low on the totem pole in the grand scheme of things.
Hiring from the online community as well as the local community is great and all, but not at the expense of game performance and stability.

I have had two ships replaced in the last year 1 becuase the other player was using an exploit before it was labeled as such, and another due to some of the strangest lag Ive had in eve. Being highly detailed (HP behaviour, Module Behavior, Object Behavior, FPS and the sort) about how the entire game appeared to lag to you may help your case.
