But I've been up for 24 hours, and it seems like a good idea Yesterday morning, the Pirates of the Burning Sea operations team began a plan to consolidate the 11 PotBS servers to 4. The subscription numbers for the game have not been very good, resulting in individual server populations being very low and requiring consolidation to keep the game moving. As many of you may have experienced with other MMOs, server consolidation is usually followed by a complete collapse & closing of the game not too far in the distant future, as players continue to leave the game. Ergo Pirates of the Burning Sea is in deep trouble. So I make this plea to BoB: please go save the game you secretly love, quit EVE and switch to PotBS to prop up the game's subscriber numbers and to bring yarring to a new audience. It will be tough here in EVE without you, but we're a strong community and will be able to, in time, get by without you. CCP too has the kind of subscriber numbers where they can absorb your loss, if just barely. Please think of all of those Pirates of the Burning Sea players who are at risk of losing the game they love. Be their knight in shining armor and go save their game. We have been graced with your presence far too long when so many others are in need. PS Anyone else on my red list (such as Razor or MM) are free/encouraged to go play PotBS too. I played Beta and I played the first month and I got REALLY sick of that game fast. It was cool for about two weeks being a pirate... but then I realized it was impossible to randomly gank people pulling into Tortuga... there were no island camps... I couldnt whirlpool-jump to the Bahamas... ... AND I GOT SICK AND TIRED OF THE RATS RUNNING AWAY 1FT/SEC FASTER THAN ME INTO THE WIND FOR 5 FREAKIN HOURS!!!!!! End edit. [PANIC]

Beta was fun for a little while, but the boarding action stuff was utterly weak, and the PvP was...well...meh. Great concept, and it looked ok, but carebearism was rampant. After EVE, I dont think I can play any game that only allows limited, instanced, consensual PvP.
