[3] Can't help with the problem, but just to let you know your not alone. I'm getting the same problem, 320 res on one monitor & nothing on second. I'm running Gainward 750 Gforce4 TI4600 (Nvidia 44.03drivers on XP) |

[7] I found a way to make it work. Go in your game directory there's a directory called "cach". Set your game settings to dual monitor and get out of the game. At that point if you load the game you will get the "320x240" bug. What you need to do is delete everything in that "cach" directory. You may lose some game preference and settings but the next time you load the game you should be set at 1024 with dual monitor enabled. Now if only they can fix this so your controls and ship are not plited in two... all the important stuff is in the center of your screen so 2 monitors is really not the best. 3 must be awesom. LMK if this helps. |

[9] Hmmmm, first off it's the "Cache" dirctory, not the "CACH" directory. Secondly if you delete your cache directory you are deleting your prefs.ini file. If you delete your prefs.ini file you no longer have the setting for dual monitors... And by the way, I also have this same exact problem. Edited by: Invader Zim on 22/06/2003 18:15:15 |

[17] If you have a geforce card you can do it but you have to turn off your second monitor and select horizontal span. see here http://siogeowall.ucsd.edu/faq/display.shtml (i got this from another forum post - thanks whoever you are) you may have to delete your chache too, but i would suggest keeping prefs.ini as the screen settings are in it! I have a 9700 pro too and get the 320 bug whatever i do. There is no horizontal span setting in ati drivers either.. I'm considering getting a cheap geforce mx400 pci card and running 3 screens using the geforce drivers horizontal span setting. |

[23] First of all, the horizontal panning that you have set is NOT "multi-monitor support" it just increases the resolution available to the engine. I have tried many different things to get multi-monitor working on my Radeon 9700 to absolutely no avail, getting the same bug as you guys have, I can only conclude, having not read of a single success story, even from reviewers, that it isn't implemented yet, it'd be nice to have an official word on this though. P.S to recover from Eve going into 320x240 just change the "desktopSetup=x"line in prefs.ini to "desktopSetup=0" this will restore it correctly.
