By the looks of it spy in one of northern alliances went straight to Titan and decloaked it.Tri and Insurgency waited for his move and brought fleet in to kill it.Way to go,if this is your booster after all that drama about tri you can have it.Its just shame that supercap did not get killed in straight up fight but in this way.Looks like all those BoB refugees in INS and TRI learned their new alliances about some dirty tricks from their old ones.

rzr pos comes out at 00:30 or something, tri gang of bout 55-60 mostly bs is put 2gethr and an insurg gang of 80ish? + caps forms to hti the tower
as tri reaches dest,jumps into friendly camp insurg shouts they have titan spot possibly...seconds later
insurg guy: 'zomg we have teaten bbld'
tri guy: 'zomg gang us we want ***** mail'
dictors/hics warp in given that people said he dd'd,evry1 tackles then lags to **** sat on top,unfortunatly, of titan with his smartbombs running which results in **** ton of wrecks and then he pops
wasnt an epic fight or anything but a titan is still dead so props to those involved :)

Using a spy validates the kill even more, because you had to fish him out from his hidey hole. I would be pretty happy with the results too.
The titan pilot, who is also the main figurehead of the enemy alliance, allowed himself to make a dumb newbie mistake and cost the alliance its biggest asset. TRI/INSURG simply capitalized on that.
Anyone who cries over it is just annoyed he won't get martyr status. Cause using it and dying gloriously is so much cooler.

Im as close as darth as your going to get at this time of night, so i feel authorised to post how it went down.
We'd just taken down a RZR pos knowing he was in local. I picked him up on scan several times.
AFAIK the Titan fired his DD, then logged. Our guys probed him out when he logged, and got what support we had on him straight away. We were given the call and MY capital alt (not yours LC) was the first to arrive. Dropped straight into siege and went at it.
It was touch and go as he was doing a good job of killing our dictors, so i warped over in my Rapier to get some bumps, which i did 4-5 times.
Tri turned up and brought some much needed dictors and hictors, at 20% armor he farted again (bye Rapier). But it made little difference and down he went.
And FYI yes i did call darth. He's asleep :P

So he logged then killed support once logged? Nice trick.
Sounds like a crash to desktop. With system lag he was probably probed before he was logged back in. Takes a bit to probe and get caps on him.

Ok seeing as though RZR know the truth and i've now been better informed...
A PURE guy convo's our fc and says 'im at the titan in local' or something along those lines. Our FC, believing it to be a trap, gets a volunteer (Dwain Dibbly) to warp to the PURE guy.
He gangs up the PURE guy and is 9km off the Titan. Immediately locks and shoots it and screams like a girl for people to warp in.
So not a spy. But given all the lame **** we've had to deal with with spies (hi whoever felt the need to ring me and tell me i like to suck***** repeatedly on tuesday)...well, what goes around comes around.

It's funny how fast the "moral high ground" club turn to smacking other corps/alliances that really have nothing to do with the loss at all when they kill a single ship, however valuable it may be.
I would, though, like to congratulate Insurgency on the well planned kill, good job guys and I hope to see more kills like this in the near future from you guys. Shame the fit on that Erebus was so horrible, at least you guys got some decent loot out of it though .

Tri is a dead alliance...no one from a dead alliance is taking apart killing supercaps...it just doesnt happen...and I thought Insurgency was dead too???

Spies and espionage are a legitimate form of operating in EVE. Part of what makes the game interesting, fully sanctioned by CCP. This isnt 'meta-gaming' - its part of the damn game!
Now, you can limit spies by not recruiting 3 month old players with no standings whatsoever, who are obvious alts. PURE didn't do that. This is the price the coalition pay for sloppy recruitment, so stop whining about it and sharpen it up.

Though not being able to play for some time due to RL complexities, you keep making me so proud of being part of Insrg.
I actually told my CFO that my Eve corp just blew a titan last night. He kept on blinking It's good that I'm in the middle of changing jobs atm...

Triumvirate made the kill possible with dictors, heavy damage, support and some other thing that you don't need to know. Any1 can do damage, in the same way as speeding doesn't make you a good driver.
The kill was not due to spies, but we don't give a shlt if any1 think so.

* Don't share safe spots
* Don't remain in gang if you are hiding at a safespot
* Cloak if you have one (though cloaking something as big as a titan seems wrong somehow)
* remain aligned and moving
* Don't log off with aggression in a hostile system

Its important to note that TRI now joining in on the fight has given the lads a serious boost, u should see the buzz around our camp. TRIs contribution is MUCH more than fire power.
The biggest challenge to INSRG the last few weeks hasnt been anything to with combat, its been about trying to keep spirits up. our boys love fighting, but late night after late night can leave its mark, it can destroy RL and RL is always going to be more important than eve.

That is Fredo's alt and I am sure Ernest was flying it given the time zone. There goes more CEI used alliance funds down the drain for failing to know how and when to use ships.

The morale boost for INSRG has apparently already happened, hope the same can be said for TRI.

Gj on what looks like a gank. I mean its an achievement to feild that many caps, but looking at the fight on the KB was it really that tough? guessing he got a DD off and killed a few, but with no support and the collective remote repping of all those tri carriers it looks like a fancy gank.
Dont get me wrong i would have done the same, but this aint the super victory its spun to be.

Any titan kill IS an achievement. As for "not enough struggle"... I suppose Insrg had done enough of it fighting heavily outnumbered over past weeks.

To all people shouting "spy, spy": titans should not be flown alone. Titan should always have support fleet. It would not go down if it had some motherships pumping armor on it. It's ok when someone wants to go solo against a fleet of capital ships, but than he should not complain when he dies.

When a plan comes for circle it's a beautiful thing. Word is this situation has been watched for since the Erebus was planned to be made and a corp was not given their due investments in RZR as an alliance after leaving.The alt was bought, placed in an ally alliance after RZR recruitment failed. The opportunity knocked and was snacthed up faster than your underwear when your gf's dad gets home early.You figured they would of lerned from d2.

Correct me if i am wrong but i think bob killed a titan that had logged off... your telling me that was hard? tri and insrg are good pvpers, thats undisputed. That a pretty kill, but with that fleet they should have killed at least two! After DDing he may as well have logged, it would have been the same as staying in game, there was nothing he could have done, thus it wasnt a kill, twas a lucky probe and gank :)

We didnt probe it out, the spot was provided by what now looks to be a disgruntled member of DAB, flying an alt in PURE in gang with the titan.
He dropped a bubble and shot it (i can confirm as i was the 2nd pilot to land at the titan - in my dread no less) and there was a bubble there along with Dwain in a Rook, of all things.
Some things to remember when killing a titan. When they can bring 10 more to the field, dont mess about killing one. Down it as quick as you can.

The Titan though was just the icing on the cake, and our cap pilots have been rewarded for their patience and dilligence.
And tri also deserved to be on that kill. They have given us a much needed boost and it's great to welcome them aboard.

Technically, the titan was the icing in the middle of the cake, as we killed POS's before and after. The fight from my POV was - my most painful d/c ever. Not that another phoenix would have done anything. There were several on him and few torps got through the smartbombs.
The most long-run gratifying aspect of the whole thing for me: within 2-4 minutes of the titan popping, Insurgency was entering another siege cycle on an enemy POS. There is a certain "please don't throw me in the briar patch" aspect to this conflict (at least of the trinsurg side) that makes me pretty sure the North will never be quiet.

Yea a lot of the posts are bitter GALAX people that show up at least once a week on a loss, nothing special. For the accuracy the killboard had a lot of prices that aren't right, news at 11. Pretty sure it's the same with a lot of kills as well, not just losses. I don't need to look at the prices listed to know what the value of something is so it's not exactly a high priority TBH. I'd be more interested in it not crashing everytime we have over a 30v30 fight :P |

Pure. Thank you very much for convoing us and providing a warp in for the titan to decloak and tackle. We hesitated at first thinking it was a trap but you came through.

There is a rather important distinction between the naptrain and Insurg gaining some temporary allies. It wasn't us who tried to sit the combined might of an already large group of napped blues onto one single alliance.
How long have the naptrain been blue to each other now?
Of course the naptrain will want to spin it whichever way suits them, but the fact remains that we have stood against their might for the past few weeks and are still in the fight. We've proven our resolve and are going nowhere.
You miss the point if you think we want to win whatever the cost. We don't want your space, we just want to fight and we just want your ships in flames
Tri also want to fight and seeing as there are targets to spare they are welcome to come help.
I fully expect Insurg and Tri to be back to fighting each other once this campaign is over. Blues == less targets

Once this campaign is over I can bet money insrg and tri will go back to shooting eachother. Which is the way both sides want it :)
Its kinda interesting, You got one side that stays blue to eachother at all times.
And the other side shoot eachother until they need to pack up to kill the nap train.
Im glad Im on the side im on :) being blue to a huge percentage of eve is not why I play.

In my defense I was in the rorqual ready to put up a POS right after we killed one of their POSs. They said titan kill happening I warped my ceptor there and got a warpin.. It was starting to go down so I said I want Vlad on the KM.. Be it rorqual hauler or what not. Hence, my Battle rorqual is fully armed and operational and has a titan scratch mark on its hull now.. Other supercaps watch out for the uber rorqual killer of doom on the way.

Insurgency smack is disturbing, u guys do good pvp, and have enemies that throw everything at you. So why all the hate? U should be thankful.
Also never seen Tri. smacking so much anywhere else than that thread, i am giving it to the amusement of the kill and wishfully thinking that they are the only alliance that are still smack free.
And all the people calling alliances that work together in order to achieve things NAPFESTERS also should not form a gang of 2 people and fight all their way solo in EVE with that logic. Get along with it.

Ah Adj, we don't show up every week. We only show up for the occassional CEI killmail. Not really bitterness, just us giving back what CEI was always oh so gracious to give to everyone but themselves.
See, you guys would insult pretty much every killmail that wasn't your own. It was either fitted incorrectly (by your standards) or they shouldn't have lost to that kind of ship, etc etc etc. But never EVER one of your own losses, because, well, no way that could happen.
But, unlike you guys, our CEO and directors actually gave a crap about how people felt, and we would restrain ourselves, or be hoofed for bad mouthing someone. Since we put up with so much of your sh!t, but we're not part of Razor anymore, some folks have decided to give back what you so graciously gave to others.
And as for all the "Glad those losers are out of the alliance" "they suck" "they're bitter"... <insert lame leet eve sarcasm>, we're sitting back, having fun in the game again, not all lagged out and wondering why we're forced to go along with a bunch of real life tards.
Oh yeah, we're also laughing pretty hysterically at the whole titan loss. Looks freakin great tbh.
I love the "oh well, don't worry about it" blah blah rah rah stuff being thrown about. If it was another corp's dread or carrier loss, you guys would've been all over it worse than the most venomous smack talkers on CAOD.

If BOB gets involved in the north it will be the start of the 2nd great war execpt this one will be greater.
It wont be the northern coalition fighting BOB, INSUR, TRI. You will prolly have goons, AAA, RA, every other alliance and there unckle coming up to curb stomp you. GL with that. |

You know why you fight? For the fun of it. So that you can get better at it. So you don't die every time someone starts shooting at you. So you learn how to avoid losing Titans the hard way. Because this is a PVP game. That's why.
when theres moar than 500 in local you wont have fun, nevar evar. for some reason our commanders think that their blobs are scary.. they are like "nvm the tactics, we have numbarz!". I bet its fun to fight when people like TWD, Lolarim or Molle are your FCs... we dont have such people. we die. first few times it might be fun, i learn something from my death, but not the leadership

What we want are fights and we're getting them. I can't speak for Tri, ATF et al personally but I'd assume they are in it for the same reasons. Worst possible outcome is NNNNC get their act together and take Branch from us, we still have 304 to fall back to and operate out of which is going to be a pain in the rectum to shift us from.

Congrats to a great kill, i hope we'll witness more than this. This whole 6 powerblocks vs 1 gangbang thing just backfired into the naptrain's face with an EVE-wide friggin BANG. Now, even WETRAIN is happily killing carriers and stuff in BKG - this image will haunt me for a long time btw lol.
Very bad decisions RZR leadership on all counts, i wont even waste my time mention em. I blame your fear, the inability to stand up for yourselves and thus napping everything around you out of fear? You have brought an entire coalition against a single alliance and why; because you are scared? Look what you did, your stench of fear brought all the bad wolves on your tracks.

RAZOR doesn't want us there, nor does MM. That has been obvious in our dealings with them thus far.
The RZR POSes in our claimed space being defended with threats of an uber blob, the attempted jump bridge deployment in a neutral sov system in lower Branch that was shot down by MM, and RZR coming to take out our station services cemented our position in this conflict. It was apparent that they were going to do everything in their power short of blobbing us out to make it difficult for us to live up here from day one. If Insurgency was removed from the picture, it would be nearly impossible for us to continue in Branch.
Insurgency, on the other hand, we built a healthy relationship with. While we had our battles with RARE, and they with the NNC, we agreed on standings so we could stay out of each other's way, and we got along great. One RARE corp even attempted to sell out and hand over the K-8 station to INSRG in return for being allowed to join the alliance, and INSRG rightly refused their offer.
So, in the end, we chose the side that respected us more, and we appreciate the recognition being given for our efforts, though we have been mostly disappointed in ourselves so far, we're working through some internal issues of our own and look to improve our efforts very soon.

Firstly
I'd like to ask all insrg alts, and I know who most of you are to cease with the smack. I can't stop you but I can ask that you just stick to the facts when defending us. It's nice to have someone stick up for us but we can do without the smack.
I realise some people here really want it to be OUR spy that got the Titan killed, hell after some of the stunts played on us during this war so far half our Pilots wish it was our spy that got the gank. Me, I'm glad it wasn't one of ours. As it is I feel the use of the warp in and stuff slightly cheapens our kill. Either way - he's dead, we're happy and that's that.
The silver lining of this conflict is that it has forced us to look outside of ourselves for friends in defending what we took. ATF have proven to be great pilots and I'm loving flying with some of the guys that I know in Tri. I've not met much Destiny yet but I'm looking forwards to flying with them to.
Last night was wierd however. Not only was I reporting where enemy carriers were to wetrain, but I was watching him kill them and actually wanting him to succeed. Anybody who knows the previous relationship between PA and INSRG will know it was always going to take something pretty damn momentous or Hell freezing over (possibly both) for that to happen :)
Despite the smack here - I've still got alot of <3 for my ex corpies who joined mm, rzr and pure from UKC. I'm hoping to return the kill mail favours that they did me in the first 2 weeks of this conflict, shortly.
Finally, whether you like Ernest or not, he does know his ****. I've fought him whilst in Fatal and now again in INSRG. He's a capable pvper and regardless of your personal feelings to the fella you should at least give him the credit that his prowess deserves. He's not the only one either. There's a good 20 or so small gang pvpers in RzR who are very good at what they do.

The constellation you call 'your claimed space' here (which is not your station constellation) has actually been Razor claimed space for close to a year. Does it really surprise you that we are threatening to defend our space against you rather than handing it over to you the second you ask for it?

I see what ppl are trying to say now, when INSRG was against every single MM friendly alliance in the north it was a good fight, now we have friends to help us all we are doing is starting a naptrain V naptrain.. dont like it now do u guys?...
Im sorry for destroying ur plans and normally what u like to happen is for your massive mumbers advantage to steamroll smaller allaiances so u can go back to carebear land.
Now i know i said to keep things cool INSRG and i dont expect any INSRG to comment on this, but thats the impression im gettting. and personally im going to love the next few weeks. MM/RZR/MH/ME/PURE/CO2 will NEVER know peace from this time on even if its just myself attacking you.

Finally, whether you like Ernest or not, he does know his ****. I've fought him whilst in Fatal and now again in INSRG. He's a capable pvper and regardless of your personal feelings to the fella you should at least give him the credit that his prowess deserves. He's not the only one either. There's a good 20 or so small gang pvpers in RzR who are very good at what they do.

turns out the internal tri drama which ended their original plan to attack bruce made things alot easier for insurg now. talk about timing. :)
if i were razor i would be looking to get bruce make a move on tri territory.
