"A Special Delivery"
It's a mission where you need to haul 40,000m3 of cargo, sometimes over 20 jumps, with a bonus of 5 million isk if completed within two hours. Complete waste of time and effort for a tiny faction standing increase and far less isk than you can make running a level 4. If the reward was 50 million, it'd be worth the effort. This sh** needs to be reviewed.

Get a pimped Iteron V and you can do it in one run. The faction increase isn't tiny either.
Nothing wrong with this mission.

Yeah seriously. I had a corp mate help me with it since I can't use transport ships, and we made it in one run. Faction standings went from about 5.10 to 5.51 I believe. Definitely not a "tiny" increase.

Faction increase is the same as a combat storyline, but yeah, it's annoying as hell, Best industrial I can fly is a bestower, and it takes 3 trips. Farthest I've had to go was 5 jumps away though.

Generally you get the "20 jump route" only if you avoid low sec. Untick the "prefer safer" box and you will see a 4-5 jump roiute with one or more in low sec.
Naturally then there is the little problem of running in low sec with a pimped Iteron V, that has the agility of a sloth (this one sloth, not the vice).

It's usually only five jumps, but I don't really want to shell out the ISK for the super pimped Iteron V it would take to make it in one trip. I usually get a corp mate or two to help me with it. ------------

And how much cargospace will a 'pimped' Iteron V have, exactly? What mods is needed?

I'm pretty sure this mission gives a very nice faction boost, comparable to other L4 kill storylines like Shipyard Theft.

Not that it's particularly on-topic, but a t1 rigged itty V with gsc's holds :
Base ship w/ expander II's + 3 x cargo rigs -> 38,433.1 12 GSC's gives -> 12 * 900 extra -> 10,800
For a grand total of -> 49233.1m3

If I remember correctly, the goods in this mission are 40 1000m3 crates/containers, meaning you can only fit 3 of them in a GSC (internal volume 3900m3, external volume 3000m3 )... So they don't help. I think you need a T2 cargo rig to make it.

Yeah, they are 40 boxes at 1000 m3 each, meaning no boxes to help.
You need an Iteron V with a T2 Cargo Rig + 2x T1 Cargo Rig, decked out in Expanded Cargo Hold 2's to make it in one trip. Although that is one extremly expensive Industrial.

I just did the lvl 3 version, which you can do easily in a transport, and got a 0.14 standings increase which kinda annoyed me because I'm grinding corp standings and this is the second time in a row I've got the bottom end of storyline missions. I just want to punch my agent in the face.... but that probably wouldn't help my standings
Guess I'm just frustrated of wading through yet ANOTHER 16 missions just to get a crappy storyline mission, at least with regular missions you can turn down a crappy one once every 4 hours. ----------------- Think of someone you consider of average intelligence... now realise this. Got me from -0.36 to +0.48 recently. Totally worth it, unlike the other cargo storylines. --

crappy storyline? More like materials for war preparation. Like I need another charisma implant. I do these things for the faction standings, and those aren't even worth my time if there's no kernite in the immediate system. _______________ Pwett CEO, Founder, & Executor <Q> QUANT Hegemony

Dont forget if you dont do the story mission after 16 missions you will get another story mission with a different agent, may help slightly and i like to stack about 4 up as spreads the corp increase between different ones.

In my period of rage/frustration I had one of those "Ohgod!! Of course !!" moments.
Don't forget to do cosmos missions (hand in tags for instant faction standing increase) if you're trying to grind faction standings. I went from 4.81 standings with the Gallente faction, to 5.24 just from buying 40 tags and handing them in. Plus doing them for Minmatar gives about an 80% increase in Gallente standing and vice versa.
