Naah better solution would be to make these things MUCH more expensive, and I mean MUCH MORE. Like 100.000 isk a day. New player scan't afford it, you say? Well, they ain't getting one anyway right now.

Oops. I'm surprised the manufacturers arn't all over these threads. I mean, they complain that BPc's destroy their profit margins and more lab slots == more BPc's! I think they said they were going to add office space like what 6 months ago?!?!?! Just imagine getting started in Eve now with a new corp - No office spaces, no lab slots.
DarkStar251	Posted - 2004.04.26 08:25:00 - [25] The problem is that people know they are in short supply, so as soon as they add more or one becomes availible at their research base, they immediately rent it and stick a shuttle BP in there researching to ME9999999999999 untill the end of time. A solution imho would be that jobs cant be ejected once started, thereby forcing people to actually use their slots, or have them locked up so long they cant use them anyway.

If you want to research mineral efficiency 1000000 times you have to pay 10,000,000,000 isk up front (no refunds)

The current situation sucks, I have an honest need for lab slots yet I have only 3 which is more then most people have still leaves me with a bunch of new BPO's that are still waiting to be but through the lab. And as a begining manufacturer I would say the BPC's dont hurt the market, you still need a high production Effiency to make cash and should at least seperate the good manufaturers from the bad ones.

If people are renting all the slots and are actually using them fine, but if they are empty, and they just keep paying for the rental, they should automatically lose them after a certian time period imo.
