Copiae Dius understands that corp theft is a part of the game and as such is legal ingame. What we take exception to was that the person using the account was not the same person who we let join in our corp. As far as we see it, this is a clear violation of the EULA, since if we understand it correctly character ownership changes must be done with the knowledge of CCP and also the corp the character belongs to. Because there is no way to defend against it. Even the most trusted friend can lend his account to a friend for a week (say he is on vacation), or he may just sell it on ebay / in-game without telling his corp that they should remove all rights. As long as there are no in-game mechanisms to control the movement of high-value items - such as authorization by at least two directors before taking anything above a certain value, or before taking more than 5 items out within the same hour - there should be at least some out of game mechanisms to punish / prevent acts like this, or at least give the guys back what the thief stole. I agree, that theft should be viable from the RP perspective, but the game is lacking the features to effectively prevent it. If you restrict the members too much, that lowers productivity / renders the corp hangars useless, if you give them too much access, they'll simply steal you. Bottomline: The hangar features of the game are lacking some critical features to restrict access in a way that only limits those who try to steal from it. As long as these features are not in the game, ccp should simply make thievery bannable. ------------- This post is nothing more than my personal opinion. Is there no goddamn law system on corp thieves in the game?! - Concord blows your butt for hittin' accidently with a Micro/small Smartbomb or whatever but "Concord" (GM should judge in such cirumstances... or a jury of GM) gives a shyt on such wallet/asset raipers!! NO WAY (and btw, i dont know any other MMO(R)PG where is the currency is that hard like it is in eve! ISK is sweat, to much work to loose it on such a mess)
