Sorry to post this openly but I do not have any access to your forums to do this in any more private way. As you may be aware despite your valiant efforts, the superior numbers of Smashkill & allies will shortly take the R-6 system. Without the help looked for (and promised) from some of your allies, you have fought in vain to defend this constellation, but alas the future is now certain. Defeat stares you in the face. This will then leave your position in the remainder of the constellation, unsustainable in even the short term. From scouting the remaining systems, we have undertaken a cost and time analysis of removing each asset of yours one system at a time. In simple terms it will be a waste of our player's time and your time and ISK. I am therefore instructed to advise you that we are currently considering applications for Corporations wishing to rent space from us. This will be agreed on an individual corp rather than alliance basis and may include Station ownership. We consider that your position of having assets in place will mean that you are able to offer us the most remuneration in the shortest timeframe. I will be able to discuss individual corporation's needs and wishes for this, or if you prefer an amnesty whereby you will be given a grace period to get your assets unanchored and out of this constellation. This would be again done on an individual corporation basis rather than alliance based. You are at liberty to check with previous alliances / corporations to whom I have made this offer about our 'conduct' in honouring any such agreements made. I know this alliance and I know our allies in IRC. Have faith in our leaders as I do. I also know the game that the enemy is playing. This fight is much more a mental game than just pixels on a screen. I know that a lot of us have never been in a war for sovereignty and many have speculated as to why SmackFix are acting this way or that way and what their end goal actually is. To be honest it doesnÆt matter because we intend to deny them of it. Right now they want some high profile kills to post to the Eve-O forums, to talk smack in local, not post their own losses, and to just wear us down. They want people to stop logging in because they cannot do anything but participate in a Mexican standoff for 90% of the day. They want people to clone jump to empire so that they can run missions or what not and be out of the way or get ganked. They want a lot. Let Us Give Them Nothing. Make them fight hard for every scrap of forum fodder and make it cost them dearly. In the past this alliance has shown me a resiliency that many other organizations, in this game and without, only wish they had. Now is the time to show it again. Keep logging on and being in the loop. I know we have real lives and donÆt want to just set at a POS and wait when we could be doing so many other things. I have some info that will help with this issue but I want you to ask me for them in game. Log on and be in the loop and I will share them with you. I am usually in game within the window of 2100 and 0100 eve time on week days. A bit more on weekends Wink To the new members that have not been in this type of warfare before: Keep your chin up. Look to the senior members of the alliance and see how they are doing. This is a mental game that we cannot let the enemy win. We Are ED. Our spirit is indomitable. When CISMARK (Chaos Incarnate Smash Atlas R0adkill) took your stations all I ever saw from FREGE was a lot of random people dying outside stations or hiding at POS, all whilst complaining about how allies had betrayed them. What you consider "fighting" I call sheer stubbornness that could've spared you the embarrassment, and saved you some future friends which perhaps could have meant that FREGE didn't need to die so horribly as it finally did. Goon, lol. To the Frege guy: I think what Gloria would reply is that maybe you're right. Frege never surrendered enmass, but we still kept our word. That's the point he is making. To the ED guys: I'm not a diplomat, but we can see that there isn't much fight left in you guys. Let's avoid the POS crap and move on. In return you can keep much of your stuff that you have built, and have that much more with which to start again.

By the time I actually called the order to go into siege, half my guys who were outside the shields said "I cant' it says im inside a shield" the other half couldn't see the primary or secondary. I was calling primaries and all I kept hearing was "I don't see that name". All we can do is petition and in the mean time use the insurance to replace the loses. Trust me, you and we both know it. I had the numbers.

Don't fight at a location where minor desyncs can prevent your side's ships from even participating. If 50% of our fleet was suffering a 90 second module lag, they would start shooting 90 seconds late. If 50% of your fleet was, they would get out of the shields 90 seconds late, and start shooting/seiging 180 seconds late. IMHO you would have had better luck engaging our fleet at a gate or planet of your choice. Pick a gate we weren't at, set up a sling. Warp your capitals to it, align back to your POS and wait for the fight. Then we have to load the grid before firing, your pilots are ready to go as soon as they load a pilot on overview. Instead you lost a major portion of your damage due to just being stuck inside the shields, more to having activation delays, and still more to not loading the same targets. We just lost to 2/3 of those reasons. And with equalish numbers on the field (plus more support on our side), it's going to tilt heavily. WTB new Onyx.

We had intel on the caps you brought into the fight mid way, most were at the 6-1 pos already and warped in, we had numbers to easily cost you as much as it would cost us which was our goal.

I was targeted several times by support and by the tower, had to warp out probably 5 times and you almost got me once. Lag was pretty bad, took about 1-2mins to activate each mod, and about the same ammount of time to actually lock someone. Overall, the lag was bad, but i didnt feel as if i couldnt do anything at all. GF to ED/IRC, etc. and thanks for brining it, was a lot of fun.

If you don't take lag into consideration when jumping 50 capitals into a fight these days, you're not fit to lead them into battle. The Russians did the same cyno in in BQ0 at their own POS, lost some, but killed a **** ton of us as well. I don't see them running to the forums and play the "peoke is a dumbass card" or "blame it all on CCP card". Come on Farham, it's getting a bit old now. If you have the capitals, commit them to the fight and do try to regroup inside a POS shield or something when the hostile fleet is just waiting for you. Desyncs happen for us all, it's just a matter of putting your fleet a place where you can minimize the losses because of them. And bring back the tone, we don't have to throw personal insults at each other over a space ship game

And as far as complaining about desynch goes, I think we definately fared worse as far as lag went. Afterall you guys were on Grid, while we had to warp onto grid. I can explain that. The jump went horribly with a good chunk not loading the grid, some crashing to desktop others completely desynced and unable to defend themselves or even see the tower. We had to get those that could manage to get out of their way and in the shield to prevent mass bumping which ended up happening a few times anyway. The original plan was to jump, load the grid, align to our intended fight location and proceed. I was not ready for that kind of lag and that was on me. Won't happen again as it is pretty easy to work around.

Guess where it went wrong? Thats why killboards seldom tell the whole story and can't be trusted, they don't show the whole picture. NB, Farkham posted in this thread stating his fleet was 200ish I believe. There's little a sledgehammer can't fix. If you can't fix it, you need a bigger sledgehammer. If it's unfixable, blame CCP. :p

They are. What about those who put damage on a target, but in the end the target never dies? Those never show up on the KB. That doesn't mean they never participated. They just left to repair maybe, or fled when the battle was lost before getting on a killmail. For instance: I've been in a gang that went wrong. We had decent numbers, but failing to kill a good amount of hostiles, the gang showed up on the KB as being 1/3 of what it actually was, infact. If a gang kills 0 hostiles, only the losees would show as participants. Ergo: Never rely on killboards for a clear picture of the battle. There's little a sledgehammer can't fix. If you can't fix it, you need a bigger sledgehammer. If it's unfixable, blame CCP. :p

I remember returning to D-IZ with 9% hull left one time, think I warped to the fleet and got sucked by a bubble. All differences aside, we have had some good fights and still look forward to more in the future, no matter who pops.

Get over yourself ladies, this is simply an escalation to a long and drawn out war; there is nothing new here except some new groups jumping into the fray namely goonswarm and TCF who have at this immediate moment in time nothing better to do (such as dining in nol ). Yes, you won the later fights for r-6 supremacy (after 7 days of us holding the field) but at the cost of a titan not just some ship - the ship that is all encompassing the greatest ship eve has to offer. Further, we made a tactical withdrawal from the field after the titan died knowing full well we had won our spoils - you may claim victory in this battle but this war you have entered is far from over. Finally, one could contend this chapter of the war was decidedly a victory for our allies, in a 7 day period we have destroyed over 850 enemy ships, 11 dreads, 9 carriers, 1 mother ship and then the pinnacle of the r-6 campaign - a titan. We came into r-6 with no intent in conquest but to simply provoke an escalating campaign of carnage - our interests were never to take ED space but to molest it into a feeding ground which has been accomplished (ala bnx mk.II). However I would be lying if I did not concede that after a week of complete dominance over the r-6 constellation and inflicting massive damage on ED infrastructure we were beginning to believe that we may just need to follow through and take the space if it was not going to be defended (hence subsequent smash tower spam to up the ante). The towers you destroyed in r-6 are all those of sacrifice and staging as we scrambled to find someone to hold the space in the event we did need take it.

Once all pilots had provided feedback I made the decision to log off having no alternative but to sit there and wait for the enemy to kill 60+ caps. As a member of Spartan or for that matter the former glory days of Tri, you are not one to speak as on more than a few occasions in BWF you logged off whole fleets due to node cluster f***s including mother ships into deep structure. Further, as support was ordered to relog immediately it became clear even if we had chosen to relog capitals and fight it was not possible as the relog times were in excess of 30 minutes or complete login failures all together. So, RA can do it, Goons can do it, Tri can do it (inclusive of SPA) but we can't do it? Practice what you preach jogyn or don't preach at all.

All this crap about how you never wanted the space, blah blah blah is all a lot of crap. ED/IRC hold Smashkill + friends during our "up" times and are completely camped in our "down" times due to severely off numbers (usually 6:1, I was actually theorizing the other day that they were requiring their people to maintain at least 6:1 in local) 4. Our friends start showing up and evening numbers 5. Smashkill starts to go poof in R-6 local Essentially, if we're even close to 1:1, we've got a 85% or better chance to hold the field and ours and IRC's killboard prove it. However, versus 2:1 or 3:1 odds, you're ******** to try to mass up for a fleet battle. We hit&run where we could, you guys tried to track us down, nothing new. All this crap about how you never wanted the space, blah blah blah is all a lot of crap. Once you started dropping POSs, you started getting even smackier in local about all these requests you're getting from ED corps to take you up on your offer because you were sure you had the system locked up. I hope someone paid you a bunch for safe passage only to see our NAPtrain come in and park on your heads. Personally, I don't fault you for being opportunistic, it's the nature of the beast. But FFS, all your chest beating, e-peen rhetoric is silly and detracts from what was, by all accounts, a gf. this carefully thought out post is 100% correct. dude don't spoil your victory in r-6 by hardcore smacking. you and your friends pushed us out. It is not the first time and it wont be the last that an alliance or coalition gets stuffed during battle. We lost R-6. we don't like losing but sometimes it happens. Clerence last his nyx by flagrant stupidity, warping a nyx solo to an enemy fleet with cap support is outrageously dumb, especially when your only backup is on the otherside of a jumpbridge and is easily bubbled (and it was). As for loses in that time period, somehow i doubt it really compares to a titan, a mothership, about 20-25 capitals, and who knows how many fleets.

There isn't much point in risking a fleet to fight in a system that doesn't matter if there is a hostile titan in local.

A 15 man cloaker squad ganked some dudes coming down the pipe, so we chased them around because they were getting some ganks while we waited
