It was more like burned out after such a long time heading up the alliance, and it would have been coming regardless. It just happened to coincide. Im sure, with hindsight as a weapon, that leadership decisions should have been made differently, and that includes diplomatic ones. But that could be said for any and every alliance. Unfortunately fountain isn't a forgiving place to be making errors. Such is life. The only sad side to it all, is the way the alliance found out, and knowing that plans had already been made to ship out on a certain date without any other leaders being informed. It eft no room for a smooth transition, and it is absolutely the reason why Bruce is now finding itself falling apart. Its hard to keep going when youre leaderless and without experienced FC's. Yes, FOOM did a huge ammount for BRUCE, but thats exactly what the problem was. It shouldnt have been just FOOM. That could/should have been changed before we even set off for fountain. Again, hindsight and all that.... Im still cheering for BRUCE. \o/

When I had a convo with another pilot who said Fried bragged to him how he (Fried) had a alt in Huzzah and took great joy in shooting Bruces, I thought no way. Then came the departure of Bruce from Syndicate and one day they are napped with Huzzah. I had Bruce members and corp CEO's convoing me (I was part of COE leadership council) as to what was going on. I had no clue as Huzzah would not give COE a 10 sec nap to get out. Then I thought of the Fried alt story.....and went hmmm. So now we jump forward and once again Fried and company do a pullout and this time he screws his own alliance. Oh his excuses sounded valid, but then I remember being on ops with him where he enjoyed playing mind games. And once again I go.....hmmmm. In the end though, it all boils down to character. You know, the big thing Fried expounded on as to what a Bruce has to have. So Fried left and took all his toys plus a few extra. I guess having game riches is more important than your good name.

Fried no one will discount the contributions that FOOM made to bruce but the fact of the matter is you left in a very poor manner and at a very poor time. Not only did you fail to properly spread leadership positions throughout the alliance you attempted to hand pick all those you felt were any good as you left. He hasn't disgraced his name by making an accurate post and you should attempt to remove your emotions from you posts in the future. You may feel that you have earned some E-respect or E-honor by running Bruce that should create a forcefield to protect you from smack but you haven't. You created an alliance that exsisted only as long as FOOM exsisted and now that alliance is dead.

Thay still hold fountain.. untill then dont count them, Thay may have been gut punched and got the wind knocked out of them by fred but there still fighting hard as meny smell blood up in fountain. thay have been spanked a fue time over the last fue weeks but at the same time, thay have laid a beating on some corps and alliances. As to the question of bruce and bob turning eachother blue.. my contacts in the bruce leadership have told me to keep my lips buttoned... ill say this most in bob are amazed that there still there... bob likes fighters, and bruce will be no bob lapdog.. equals or nothing...

They hold fountain, for the most part, and have held out despite attacks from several other alliances. Granted only BoB is probably really interested in taking their space but Bruce has held and survived so far. I wouldn't count them out until they withdraw or close. After all, with all the alliances that have been collapsing lately you have to figure Bruce will probably get at least SOME of those pilots who are looking for an alliance that gets lots of pew pew... and Bruce is getting plenty right now :) ----------- EVNS, bringing quality carebearing to a solar system near you!

What sinking ship, before Fried left bruce handed out spankings on a daily basis. and there still holding Fountain... and this weekend has been very good for Bruce.. if anyone is going to take fountain thay better hurry up... there starting to belive thay can hold it for good, the physiological impact of fried(not FOOM) leaving is waring off... if no one takes fountain in the next month, Bruce will hold it for good.

Its not allways easy for new people to take the rains, while the old leader is still there with his ways (that imo were outdated the day bruce went into fountain). Foom's departure was a sad and difficult moment for us; the reorganization that followed is a great testament to endless hours of hard work and dedication that Fried and Foom put into BRUCE until the moment they left, and to how important to the alliance they were. Though some of us were hurt and saddened to see Friedrick leave, we understand his reasons for leaving and will forever be thankful for his contributions made to this alliance, despite what a misanthropic hacker would have people believe. As to the subject of us collapsing, I'd like to inform the OP that we are still here enjoying ourselves as always. I'm sure that all the PVPers involved can state that amount of action we've gotten to see has made Eve very enjoyable as of late, even if we are not on the winning side every battle. Those on the lower end of the SP side in BRUCE are getting the opportunity to fight some of the best PvPers in the game, including Band of Brothers, Ex-Triumvirate members in Cruel Intentions, and of course Pandemic Legion. Aside from some of the regrettable meta-gaming that has plagued this conflict, it has been a lot of fun thusfar. Few pilots outside of fountain can really state that they've ever been in a 3 or 4 way full on fleet fight, for example :) So, in sum, we will continue to fight, we're not collapsing and we'll see BoB, PL, Cl, and Kugutsumen in space....errr, sorry Kug, too late?

Been around a short while and knows it all. First of all if all the new corps would have stepped up done their part and not been so damn interested in getting their wallets fat. Oh the numbers were there but check back thru the kill boards it was always the same ones out there defending the place and forming up EVERY TIME a fleet was needed , while the many either hid went afk or continued doing what made them isk. I too hated to see fried and foom leave but you can only blame yourselves. when there are 450 in alliance and only 40 or 50 will go to fight your gonna wear this small few out. Sure i was kicked out of bruce with my corp just a couple weeks before and is the best thing to happen. Now lets see how long till the current leaders get worn down and fed up with the many who won't fight. I say better get it while the getting is good Oh my bad those days are over. I'll still fight with ya fried and foom atleast i know you will show up.

I left BRUCE not because its dying, not because the leadership was crap, i left because i disagreed with the blob tactics and the way BRUCE fought. Fried came across to some people as arrogant and as if he was above everyone, but that never came across to me when i was in the alliance. I was there when we took USO, PNQ and 7BX and the major battle against RECON. BRUCE still has the power to hold on to their territory, they just need to regain some composure. FOOM leaving will have been a big blow but its never one man/one corp that makes an alliance.

Unfortunately given today's game mechanics it's really the only way to control territory anymore. Roaming gangs are fun but they don't hold space :/ Much as many of us hate it, blob warfare is the only way to take/hold space :( I don't know of any way to fix it, unfortunately people's first instinct to deal with any situation is to 'band together' or 'blob'. After all, the 'safety in numbers' mentality is ingrained in our psyche as humans. All that said I do agree with most in the thread. Losing one or two corps won't kill Bruce. And they had a very good weekend, defense wise. So we'll just have to wait and see how fountain looks in a week or 3. ----------- EVNS, bringing quality carebearing to a solar system near you!

There was quite a number of COE and Bruce pilots that can attest to it.
