My fellow capsuleers, I am asking for your support in signing this petition to elicit an official response from the Gallente Federation following the tragic incident in Malkalen.
I do realize that this issue was raised before in other discussions, the issue being the complete absence of an official statement or any response from the Gallente Federation. But in those other discussions the question was left unanswered and became overridden by more theories and accusations.
I would kindly ask you not to use this petition to pose more theories, as this is the opposite of what I intend! The absence of any official statement is triggering all of that.
A denial, a condemnation, an investigation. We demand something!
Signed: Ellyra, Caldari citizen May the souls of the victims who fell in that dark day rest in peace.

They are not going to really apologize. If they were, they would have done so already. Anything now would be simply political to not seem like an agressive party.

It is most troubling that there has been no official statement on this non-natural disaster. Although I am Matari my former partner was Caldari and I and our children share is our grief for the dead.

Yes, I would like to know, will the Federation recognize the actions of a hero, or will our President need to be shown the error of his ways by the Senate, led by a man who's election would have prevented such a noble sacrifice?

The Federation's government will make a statement when it sees fit. Capsuleer rabble will certainly not get in the way of their diplomatic affairs. I suggest you all sit down and behave. -------

I would sign this, but I can imagine their response:
We were saddened by the regrettable* incident that occurred. No one had any idea of the Admiral's mental state, etc...
*Note: This is different than apologizing. Saying sorry conveys responsibility, saying something is regrettable doesn't. Really. Read the press release of any politician caught in a misdeed anywhere. --------------

A capsuleer was the agent of the Malkalan disaster. I don't think the Federation can afford to ignore us "rabble." I'd personally like to hear the official government statement. Either way, it won't diminish my support for the Federation as a people, as a culture, and as a nation, but it'll at least affect who I vote for in the next election.

For all the time it's taken for them to (hopefully) come up with a statement, Foiritain and his cabinet had best be drafting an apology of epic proportions. If they try to play this off politically, I will be very, very disappointed in my government.

Okay, let me put this simply because it seems the majority are either woefully ignorant, or have the mental capacity of a fedo stuck in an exhaust pipe.
One of the Federation's most decorated pilots that was flying the super carrier for the talks decided to take hostile action and suicide-rammed his flagship into the side of the Ishukone headquarters. This has caused a humanitarian incident and a diplomatic incident of epic proportions due to the nature of events - not to mention this puts the question of whether 1) the Alexander Noir was acting alone, 2) how much order and control does the Federal Navy have over its officers, 3) the Federation's legitimacy and truthfulness as well as how open it is to future investigations.
I'm not sure if you've actually realized this, but these events took place less than FOUR (4) days ago. How do you expect, let alone have the gall to demand an apology or even a statement if the Federation themselves are reeling from the shock and/or locking down assets to prevent escalation of conflicts?
So sit down and behave, let the internal inquiries start and stop this flooding of left-wing populist petitioning on the GalNet. Its highly annoying. -------

The Amarrian Theology Council had enough decency to call mourning. The corporations within Caldari State had enough decency to assist with the relief effort. The Gallente being involved from the very begining, theirs being the Wandering Saint and main suspect, decided to do nothing. No information of investigation, no mourning, no attempt to help save for brave capsulers to whom we all should be grateful. There is a great difference between taking your time to act while showing you're aware that you must act, and not doing anything. The Federation for some reason decided to sit back and enjoy the fire (literally).
