I am a trader first. I am always looking around the market for bigger and better chances than what I am doing. I see a lot of chances I can take right now and so I want to get more capital to get the best out of everything.
So I am getting a dutch auction going for a 8 billion isk loan. I will pay interest every two months. The interest rate would start at 16% and then you get to bid an amount of shares with the interest you want going lower in the process.
I plan to keep this loan out for at least a year but I may honour individual withdrawals if due time is given of up two weeks in advance. I will only pay interest on entire months so for those knowing they might make withdrawals I suggest letting me know early.
The risks for you include me running away with the isk or getting hit by a bus that both result in you seeing no returns. I would say that running away with isk would be pointless because I don't really spend isk on anything that doesn't make more isk. It is up to you to decide if this is worth your risk.
If you have any questions please ask them in this thread and not in eve. I am not offering security. I will not divulge my trading methods. I will not post my api. I am not asking anyone I have done business with to vouch for me. This is a loan to me and my reputation not to someone that might vouch for me.
I will have this thread open up to 8 days. I may choose to end it earlier and then counting from the last posts I will add up 8 billion and the highest rate is what everyone gets. I reserve the right to call off the auction. Don't send isk until the auction is over. miners-you can: switch, rob, wardec, nerf, scam them, buy below market, pirate them on their way to sell. mining < trading, ratting, manufacturing from market bought minerals, they still wont go away |

I see you had a previous public offering in which Ricdic appears to have bought all of the shares. I would appreciate him posting to confirm that things went well.
Pending a positive response from Ricdic, I'll get you started at 16% for all 8B.

In case anyone is unfamiliar with this type of auction , you can look here. The major differences are that you are bidding to give my the loan and that there are no shares or bonds to distribute. The minimum bid increment should be half a percent. If It wasn't clear the 16% interest is for two months because thats how often I will make payments.
Yes I did make a thread asking for isk before and I don't know if Ricdic has time to reply. I don't know rawcola or anyone that spells their name like mine. Don't hesitate to post something even if you aren't bidding.

I don't know you and your attitude suggests you can get your investment from people who DO know you and therefore you could care less about what people who DON'T know you think.
So guess I'm gonna pass on this

Yep the OP has had previous investments and I have bought into or bought out most of them. He hasn't released any of this size before but I think I have dealt with him unsecured around the 1b mark.
He has always made repayments on time and of the correct amounts. I didn't post it earlier as his post said he didn't want people to say anything about his previous business practices.

There isn't much to think about here except if you trust me and the lowest rate you can handle.

Some feedback is a must if I want to be considered for my reputation but I don't expect or require anyone to post.

this, so i will not go into detail, either. suffice to say i've dealt with rawcola in the 5 bil'ish area for *count* a little over nine months. the termination of our agreement had nothing to do with him - i've lost faith in the secondary market and/or MD and (re)started to put the stuff to work on my own. that's also why i'm not going to participate this time. that and i've been spoiled by last year's interest rates ^^ - putting the gist back into logistics |

Ok, time to chime in. You want us to invest based only on your reputaton and you aren't willing to provide any other information BUT you don't care if those indiiduals who can speak on your behalf post here or not. I'm confused.
Maybe you or someone else can clear this up for me. An investment based ONLY on your reputation, but you don't care if anyone comes forward to confirm or deny your reputation. So really you only want people to invest that have worked with or invested in you in the past??

I think what he meant was, "I'm trading on my own name here. I have friends that are respected but I don't want them to vouch for me because then I'd be trading on their name." However, he still needs and wants people whom *he* has done business with to confirm *his* reputation. Personally, I respect this. It might cost him a point or two now but he'll be beholden to no one.

Edited by: EBANK Ricdic on 20/05/2008 10:19:28 It's a dutch auction so you can bid at any percent you like. IE you could bid 8b @ 14% and that would mean you would be beating both Kazuo and me

Nothing personal, but that's really poor form. At least you did it several days before th close of that auction but a bid is still considered binding and that's a really crappy reason to change it.

Edited by: Kazuo Ishiguro on 20/05/2008 21:46:36 It was a request, nothing more. It's up to the OP to decide on what's binding and what's not, and I'd have understood perfectly well if he'd decided not to accept the retraction.
Anyway, since I've been outbid (or is that underbid?), my new offer is 1bn at 14.5% My research services Spreadsheets: Top speed calculation - Halo Implant stats |

As long as it ain't closed i'd say he can change it at any time and the OP can make his own choice. He took a risk and in this case got me coming in and profiting from his change. He took a risk by changing his original bid.I do not see anything wrong with that tbh.Happens a lot in here that people bid 2 bille for example and change it before the end to only 1 bille or completely retract their offer.

I'm kind of confused what the current situation is.
Is it 6bil @ 15% 1bil @ 15% 1bil @ 14.5% ????
If so can I put in 100mil @ 14.5%
Note: I'm not fully sure how dutch auctions work, sorry if I got it wrong. -------- Billy Jean is not my lover |

Edited by: flakeys on 21/05/2008 14:46:01 To say it simple your bidding down instead of up.So at the end of the auction he will take the 8 bille of the people who bid the lowest percentage.
SO for example the lowest is 1bille at 14% then 3bille at 14.5% then 4bille at 15%
Keep in mind that the ones who for example posted the 15% first will get it first.
SO if you and i both bid 2.5 bille at 15% but i was the first to make this bid then i will get my cut in first then what's left is your cut.Since there was only 4 bille left and 2.5 + 2.5 is still 5bille.So you could invest 1.5bille instead of 2 as your original bid was.
Anyone correct me if i am wrong though but this is how i see it.
So it's 1 bille at 14.5% 200 mille at 15% by MilowFV 6 bille at 15% for ricdic 1.8bille at 15% is left for me
See my 2 bille bid only has 1.8 left since milowfv and ricdic posted that bid sooner

The dutch auction system works so that you can bid at 1% and that assures you will get a peace of the pie while you will probably be getting much more than 1%. You can bid at the same rates and you should probably bid lower to make sure you get in.
Thanks to everyone who has placed a bid. Small bids are welcome and have better chances than in a traditional offering because of the nature of this auction. Again, I would like to refer everyone to wikipedia for a good explanation of how it works in detail. In short it allows you to get some of the offering by placing a low interest bid and then get paid a far higher interest.
