Just looking at the Helios on test now and it says it's got the Imicus hull... that isn't what's on live now. What happened?

Technically it was always supposed to have the imicus model, since the imicus is the Gallente exploration frigate, maybe they decided to fix it.

It would be logical then to get the sentinel or the anathema changed. (To the new amarr frig model)

Only the Caldari Covert Ops ship uses the hull of a T1 exploration vessel. Personally I'm glad there's no T2 hull for the Probe or the Imicus, since they're both rather unpleasant looking in their own way (though the Imicus much more so than the Probe.) The other three CO's use the EWar frigate hulls. I think the rationale behind making the EWar frigates into Covert Ops ships is because the EWar frigates would already have been equipped with more robust electronics that could be retrofit to accomodate a Covert Ops cloak. All that the T1 exploration frigates have to do is analyze probe data faster.

A hope they keep the Maulus hull. The Imicus one is ugly as sin.
And I just finished training for a Helios too, godammit.

It looks like they changed the minmatar covert ops to the probe hull also. Guess I'm training for the amarr one.

Just no. Please don't do this CCP. Leave the Helios as it is, the Imicus is the uglist ship in the game

Well, there are a couple of ships more hideous than even the Imicus, but i agree that on this case at least, swapping the Helios hull for it is poor

Damp ships are useless. Even though I can fly it, I've never bought one, nor undocked in it. It'd be a waste of money. Apparently most people agree with me, because I've never seen one in space either. :)
Well, I've always loved the way the Helios looks. At least it'll be a cloaky and I won't have to actually look at it.

It's the principle.
The Maulus hull looks badass. And even though you're cloaked, you know it looks badass.
Imicus hull is just made of fail. Even if I'm cloaked, I'll still see the Imicus.

Even the Navitas is slightly better. Yeah okay, it looks like a fish, but it's better than the Imicus.

I hate it when devs do stuff like this. I trained forever for my Helios and its gonna suck to login to see it replaced wit that ugly Imicus. They should fire the modeler that made that ship

that thing was awesome looking.

Yea, cant really understand why they feel the need to change it , not like anyone was complaining about it. Would make as much sense just to swap the bonuses on the imicus and the maulus.

If I were in their shoes i'd sooner shuffle the boni of frigates a bit. I mean, whats the point in having Probe frigate having cargo bonus AND exploration bonus?
I'd switch Burst and Probe bonuses - probe will be a true mining frig, like bantam is, and burst will be a small sneaky exploration vessel, which his looks favor much more than Probe's.
And then give Cheetah a modified Burst model.
That's if they REALLY HAVE TO change models at all, cuz they seem fine as they are to me now.
