This goes to a perma link on my EVE FAV thread list. THIS thread must also BE GLUED. Fact is, all of the points explained in here are a real assimilation of the reality within the game. Noobs should read this when they first login to the game and read it after logging out.
Can I ask for "PERMA GLUE this thread plz?"

Glue would be nice. I think the thread fits in with the "10 Must Do Things In EVE" thread that's currently stickied up there.

If you lose a ship or get podded, it's your fault and yours only.
When entering lowsec/0.0, accept the fact that you are already dead. That way when it does happen, you will whine less.

PvP's will always complain about the industrialists and vice versa. There's no exceptions and no real way to compromise. Short of trying to do a little bit of what you may not enjoy there's no real hope without the use of alts and lots of them.

Usually completely wrong. There is no "defense", there is nothing stopping someone from popping a Hauler regardless of how badass an escort he has.
More like: The chances of your industrial ship arriving at its destination is directly related to how many scout-alts and spies you have.

Awesome points. Some are painful, but all to true 
* Everything in Eve is PvP - Mining, market, invention - in all things you are competing with other players, and anything can be a reason to escalate to pew pew.
* Anything can be a reason to wardec - if someone doesn't like your ship-name, expect a wardec in the mail shortly.

This is an excellent OP Sergio Ling.
But if feels to me as if you broke century old traditions of a secret society with it.
I hope people won't absorb the truth and wisdom you're giving away here; I might get scared if they stop behaving the way they do because they don't know better - or don't want to know better.
Imagine no OOC-smack. Imagine no mindless flaming on the forums, no one being a smart-ass trying to dictate how you "do it the right way", no whining, no one trying to force you into respecting them. The horror, it's unimaginable!
It could be a nice game experience for sure - but it'd not be what I've grown attached to over all these years. 
I guess that's just me, oh well.

The day before the patch goes live, set a really really really long skill, just in case.
The day of downtime is a good chance to go get food, or clean the house, or see if you pets are still alive, just in case.

Yes they do. Remember the 'Carrier Nerf' idea CCP "postponed implementing" and then never mentioned again?
