I don't want to know about the BattleShips and your setup, they are big and all powerful yes we all know.
If you have a medium quality Amarrian cruiser (Omen or below), what do you use it for?
And what do you have equipped? You miners need not apply!
(Hey I'm bored, the BS ships are nice and all powerful but incredibly slow for me and expensive.)
Any Arbitrator pilots out there that can effectively use it for fighting? I'm interested in this ship, purely on the fact that it looks nice just to bad that performance wise it blows.

Yup I love the look of the Arbitrator myself, but its to bad there aren't any Ship mods out to expand certain stats on it.

Arb makes a half decent support ship/Anti-frigate cruiser
on hi i stuck 2 heavy beam, 2 med shield transporters
med 1 med cap batt, 1 cap recharger, 1 webifier
low 1 med armor repairer, 1 small armor repairer, 1 400mm plate, and 2 power diag systems
Not ubar, but fun, and you can heal those around you. _______________________________________________

I use my Omen largely as a courier ship-- It easily fits a MWD, has large capacitor for long jumps, and with 5 low slots, you can get up to around 1000 m¦ of cargo.
Also works for simple kill missions, and the occasional NPC hunting. I don't get in serious fights with it, though.
With the coming changes to Battleships vs. Frigates, I think the Arbitrator may suddenly become a good escort cruiser-- Cruise missiles, large drone bay, and a couple turrets to deal out short range damage.

Siddy and Brogutor Rage, don't tell me you like a heathen ship
For the Republic!!!!
J/K.... I used, you named it, projectiles on my amarrian cruisers. I would pass up all the lower ones and go for a maller. Its just a great all around ship. -----

I've been dying to try out a high speed maller setup, but I'm just not very skilled with amarr ships and I'm not sure how good it would be without any missles or drones. But You could probably do some fun things with smartbombs.

I have yet to try an Arbitrator,i plan on it being my next Ammar cruiser. (though i fly a Celestis at the moment, im thinking they will be very similar) Between the Omen and Malller i prefer the Omen. Looks nice, can carry mining drones, is faster and has larger cargo space.
Though ive found i can use 2 DCMs at the same time on a maller making it pretty handy for mining. Rat hunting the Maller is also a lil better.

The Omen makes a great agent mission ship. It is a real achievement of Amarrian ship design. Fast, good cargo space and great looks.
For missions I use Heavy Medium Beams, a MWD, Med Shield Booster II and whatever low slot config is needed.

Yeah I think arbi is the best amarr cruiser. Reasonable cargo, 2 Turrets initially seems crappy but the launcher and drones makeup for the firepower loss and because you have't got lots of lasers it can shield boost for much longer.
The whole amarr range from cruiser down needs looking at imo, they just don't measure up to the opposition atall.
