Brothers and Sisters, Caldari everywhere, rejoice!
Heth has brought us home. Caldari Prime is our sovereign territory once again. A lot has happened in New Eden this last 24 hours, but this is perhaps the most glorious of it all.
Join me in celebration of this glorious hour, and the liberation of our homeworld from under the noses of the arrogant Gallente! |

This is not a reason for celebration, this is a reason to weep for the lives of every man, woman, and child in the State and the Federation. They will be the ones that pay for Heth's fleeting grasp on glory. He has destroyed our nation for the sake of a symbol. |

While I do agree that there is some cause for rejoicing over the return of the ancestral home of the Civire and Deteis to the State, I must echo Captain Scarlet's words and feelings. Heth has reclaimed that world in a manner that will only further swell the animosity between the State and Federation.
I do however lend credit to President Foritain, as he demonstrated sound judgment in calling for a cease-fire on his side. It may have been a unilateral cease-fire, but it does show that there is hope for reason.

With rumors on the Scope network claiming that Heth effectively held the Gallente populace on Caldari Prime hostage with the threat of bombing their residental zones from Orbit I do not expect even the negotiated peace to hold. CONCORD and the DED may well step in to enforce their mandate to return to previous territorial borders, or they may withdrawl from the Federation and The State to make way for another war.
Who knows for certain?
The Next 24 hours may well reveal what the future has in store for the four Empires.

Please. Though he did, and to his credit, Heth didn't have to negotiate anything, he could have wiped out every single life on the Gallente homeworld and there wouldn't have been a thihg the feeble Gallente fleet could have done to stop him. But he didn't. The Gallente occupation of Caldari Prime has last too long. It won't happen again.

Had he not, then President Foritain may not have had the desire to give our Fleets the order to stand down. Even some Tyrants know the preverbial line in the sand of which they should not cross. If his ambition was to seize Caldari Prime, he accomplished it. Moving on to Gallente Prime would have most certainly given the Federation reason enough to renew a war which was ended perhaps too hastily those many years back.

I wasn't sure I'd ever get to see Caldari Prime back with the State. I'm flush with pride at being Caldari, and at what we can accomplish. We've recovered our home planet, and given the Gallente Federation a bloody nose. Caldari military might prevails!

You forget - the Gallente Fleet was not in Luminaire, because it was in your border systems. You committed almost your entire battlefleet to our home system - the reason Heth called for a cease fire was because he knew that it was the only way he could hold Caldari Prime and maintain security in the Caldari State proper.
No matter, you won't hold that planet for long.

Despite the above sentiment, I can't quite suppress my emotions. Come what may, today the Caldari showed the galaxy that we are not only strong, but that we can restrain that strength. It was within our fleet's power to return upon Gallente prime the same crime that was committed upon us during the war, and yet we did not. I am not happy that we began this... but I can't deny that I too swelled with patriotic pride and sang when that flag was raised.
I have always said that Caldari Prime is a cradle we should abandon. I have tried to tell people that a man with his feet glued to the ground cannot touch the sky.
Now, I wonder if I was genuine in that belief, or whether I was saying that because I never believed we could have it back? I no longer know. |

This is the most disastrous move the Caldari could have ever made. The Federation Navy may be incompetent, but Heth and his CN cronies just ensured the death of billions of Caldari. What a selfish act. |

Caldari Prime is finally under Caldari sovereignty once again.
I dont totally agree with Heths methods, but I do agree with his goals.
Too long have Caldari Prime been occupied by the federation but no more.
It's been a while since I've been this happy! |

Quite honestly I disagree.
The thrity two escorts of the Leviathan have fallen. What few re-enforcements slip free of warp above Caldari Prime meet a quick end.
The citizens of the Federation are angry, this is as obvious as the bolts of antimatter currently striking the Leviathan's shields.
Meanwhile, we in the Navy and the Academy follow the orders given to us. Sit and Wait, patrol our routes and deal with pirates.
This is not war, but at this rate it is all but unaviodable.

Seems like a cunning plan that.
Strike deep at the heart of the Federation's Territory to "reclaim" a planet. Then withdraw leaving only a token fleet which appears to be manned by simple level AI-Drones. Wait for the civilian citizens of the Federation to take the only actions that angry mobs take after a military action directed against them. Then claim the Federation at fault for starting up the war.
As I said, a cunning plan. Heth wasn't one for subtlety, was he?
The titan after all, is doing little more than repairing itself. Nothing any standard production maintenence bot couldn't do.
The Titan's escorts however, fought bravely for what its worth. The hundreds of civilian pilots were simply able to overwhelm them, much like the Caldari fleet did on its initial strike. What appear to be more and more re-enforcements are not holding much ground. A pity that they must be wasted so.

The Federation were at fault when they allowed their most celebrated admiral to pilot their naval flagship into a Caldari station killing hundreds of thousands of civilians. No amount of spin will change the fact that when this war does resume, the Gallente struck first blood.
