I've been where you are. In college, mostly broke, trying to buy books and still afford food, etc etc etc. I know, I've been there.
However, when you say that there are NO part-time jobs where you are, I think you are being a little dishonest. I suspect that what you REALLY mean is that there are no part-time jobs that you want in your area.
Let's face it, there is ALWAYS work for those who are willing and able. I have a very hard time believing that there are no Petrol stations that need night attendants, no gardeners that need strong, young backs and arms to help out, no garbage collectors that need the same. And if there is nobody willing to hire you, then go into business for yourself. Pick up a crappy old lawnmower and start mowing lawns. Walk the dogs of rich people, babysit. There are ALWAYS ways of making money, even if it's only a little.
The point is, don't think so highly of yourself that you think you are above any work. Living on the dole is for losers and people with no REAL options. If you are young, able, reasonably strong, and smart enough to attend college then your options and opportunities are limited only by your imagination and willingness to work.

Nope, it's 8 cents and a half more, per day. If you use GTCs.
It's the old price if you pay by cash or debit card. 14.95/month, and you can pay monthly.
The OP is just trolling, he can pay 14.95/month through money orders. Just go to a post office.

Didn't know you have to pay for money orders. But I sure know you don't have to pay for DEBIT cards, here where I live it's free to open one, no obligatory first deposit no nothing. Just a really small annual charge. . |

If your lucky enough to live somewhere where you can go to college and have a job then good for you. (No that's not sarcasm)
However believe it or not some places like where I live only have full time available. Something I can not do. If you can't use the common sense to realise that then again, I cba to spend the effort to read your post.
If your bank account went constantly bouncing up and down from the ú0 mark then you wouldn't link it to your account either which is why I have to use GTCs. Furb Killer lol I know but come on... Everyone has to have something fun to do with mates online.
As for credit cards... Where do I start... Really, what a stupid thing to say to someone with no money.
Can't use isk either really which is a shame. Even with my industrial mining Ice 24/7 400mil is a struggle... but 800mil... Not a chance I can pull that off
Thank you to the sensible and none sadistic replies.
Im currently a student studying in the UK (Im guessing that where your from), and I have a student loan, My loan doesnt even cover acomedation, and I have a job that barly covers it, so what I do I buy 3 months for EVE in advance so I know that its covered.
That way I know I have a cheaper option of spening 60 pounds on 2 acoutns in eve over 3 months, or spending that in a night out on the the drink up with friends. I know the later sounds mor fun, but in the end what is it worth, and is it worth the expense...
DOnt wory about it, it will work it self out, trst me I know it will... --------------------

Ouch dude, I feel for yah.
If I were you, training a long lvl 5 and saving up for the 60 day card sounds like the way to go.
You can ALWAYS play trial accounts to have some fun in the mean time.
The test server should also have your account until the next mirror.
Good Luck!

Dunno how this would work n the UK but I know a guy in the states who has a wife that won't let him take one dime from the regular income to play a game... here is what he does... and he has little time to farm for isk.
He got a no charge checking debit card first. Then he started selling blood once a week. Put the money... think he said it was 10-20 bucks US... in the account. Use the debit card to pay long term.
I know it sounds a bit lame... did to me at least... but now he plays and it adds up enuff he only pays in blood (literally) once n awhile now.

MJ, getting GTC's with some hours of missioning should sort your problem.
And as other stated : I think you're dishounest about "no jobs". When I was 17 I shoveled cow**** for 5 hours / week, and made 40 pound in those 5 hours, netting me 150-160 pounds a month. There are always jobs.
And no, there won't be many like you, since they all found a way (work) to make it possible to game/go out.
We did an enquete last year on the highschool I work on, and 65% of the students have evening/saturday jobs, and we live in a very rural area.
You're too picky/easy.

LMAO @ selling blood to play eve. That ought to be reserved for substance abuse tbh.
If the problem is just the timing and you can afford the rate increase, here's what you do:
1. Let your account lapse for a month, put the money you would've spent on eve in a shoebox.
2. The next month, put the eve money in the same shoebox. Well lookie thar, you got 2 months' eve money. How'd you do that? Go buy 60 days.
3. Next month when you would've paid your bill again, stick it in the shoebox.
4. GOTO 2
Or quit in protest, up to you. ___________________________________________

Up until recently I was an IT Consultant for a bluechip company. Situations changed for me and I'm now looking for some late night shelf stacking jobs to keep the cash coming in and to keep me busy. Its money in the bank and it pays the bills.
Young folks today have a very odd attitude to money/wants and needs. I was watching a TV documantary about a young 19 year old girl who had a 15 month old daughter and was also studying for a degree. She was struggling to make ends meet so decided to do pole-dancing and lap-dancing. She stated catagorically that working in a supermarket just wasnt enough. Anyway they follow her off to the stripclub and she does her 4-5 stint till the early hours. They then ask her how much she made. After paying the club ú85 to dance and then the clubs cut of her takings she had made ú15 for 5 hours work!!!!
Supermarket doesnt cut it eh?
To be honest whilst you may feel the whole world is against you, if I was in your shoes and on ú30 a week, not being able to play Eve would be about item number 95 on my list of priorities to sort out ASAP.
Sit down, have a good long think about what is really important and necessary and make a plan.
Trust me. Eve is NOT necessary for you right now.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you have two accounts then its more money up front, a little over double by my math. Sure you get a month where you dont have to pay but is that the point?
I would say however, that you may have to go elsewhere to have a constructive conversation. People will have lots of highly opinioniated options and suggestions for you :)
Splash plastic and pay by cash...its how i played when money was tight, or as someone else mentioned a prepaid credit card...theres your easy options...
If you don't take those options then I will agree with the majorty posting... ========= "I am not saying there should be capital punishment for stupidity, but why can`t we just take the safety labels off everything and let the problem fix its self |

If there's a college, there will be jobs around. So don't talk crap. They don't build colleges in the middle of nowhere?
OP, would you mind telling us the area you live? I live in a small city up north, 80k people, and jobs are out there for anyone who wants them. WANT being the key word, sounds like you're just being lazy.
I worked a paperound for 12quid a week, that ALONE could pay your sub, are there no newsagents near you? My first proper job was as a waiter for 3.50 an hour. It's ****, and low pay, but it was pay none the less.
I don't receive any EMA, never have; it annoys me that people get money just for going to school, where as others get nothing; just because my parents get x amount of money sure as hell doesn't mean I see any of it, but that's another rant!
Get a job. It isn't hard, really.

Two months game time cost X pounds. Dude's only got X/2 pounds a month to spend. Dude saves for two months, he's got 2*X/2 = X pounds. Dude buys two months game time. During those two months, he can save up to buy other two months. No?
And that's assuming you don't even get any discount for buying two months instead of one, at a time.
Sure, there's gonna be a break till he gets the savings up enough. Such is the life of people with low income; you have to plan ahead. Or get a loan from your friends to get started. :)

Get a job FFS!

You don't know the cicumstances. He/she may be a student trying to get qualifications to get one or a single parent who can't afford childcare costs on a minimum wage. Please engage brain before putting anything else in motion, not everyone is on benefits out of choice. Frankly, minimum wage is far too low and those on it would often be better off financially by being out of work.

Jesus, I cannot believe there is sympathy here??
I guess I'm one of the few that finds this laughable. Go get a job. Stack shelves, sweep the street, I don't care. How come people who want to work find jobs (Even part time ones) easily, yet those that want to be slackers sit around complaining "oh it's so hard, give me handouts"
I went to college to learn stuff, not cos the Government was paying me to go so that they can massage the unemployment figures.
I think you need to look at prioritising matey, that's what you have to do in the real world, though I guess you'll go straight from EMA to Jobseekers by the sound of it.
I go to work every day of the week, I have a family to support and my taxes go to support whiney tossers who can't be arsed to try. Makes my blood boil. |

I apologise if I've offended, but amidst the rant was a point - Prioritise. I'm sorry if people can't afford to play this game but in a contest between eating and playing internet spaceships, er, eating wins.
The reason I got so irritated is the hard done by attitude - "Oh I only get ú30 a week" (which is the usual EMA amount and why people assumed that) or "I don't get paid if I'm off" (hey, guess what, neither do I!) - and I'll admit that it is partially because in my day (I feel dirty now - I'm not that old) we went to college to learn, not to get paid, if we wanted money there was no choice, get a job.
Another point I worth noting is that this change isn't coming in to cost people more money, it's coming in to stop europeans basically scamming the ****ty exchange rate to the dollar.
