if you are the same excaliblur than in enb then i wonder why YOU write such things.... a guildmate of me lost a few high valuable items to you in enb (gm prooved that) and your guild did nothing to give em back... but thats another story.. im not the one who hired those guys but if your behavior here is the same than in enb then im all for it :)

Hiya,
yeah I am the same person, but I'm led to belive that seen as though I left E&B well over a year ago now I'm assuming whoever took my character over cused that misfortune.
I think we had a few dealings/trades whilst i was the owner of that chracter, but I don't recall ever stealing or KSing during my E&B career. If it makes u any happier I'l gladly pay up in isk to clear the name of my E&B character..
Right on to other stuff.
We might aswell fight. What's a few frigates compared to the valuable pvp experience we shall learn on behalf of some coward? i for one will be stockpiling my frigates :D.
All the people that suggested we pay BDCI to remedy this situation by nuking whoever hired them is an impossibility. Of course I would love to turn the table on this coward, however the corp is still very new to this game and many of our members have only just moved from E&B hence they are just geting the skills to mine in bigger ships! Let alone using indy's to move the ore heh.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens and hope we don't get in over our heads

Don't be lulled by the facade of civility from these mercs, they don't call them 'dogs of war' because they are honourable. Expect a dirty fight and you won't be disappointed.
snip
I agree, fight them and learn something. It could be a very exciting time. But also remember this must end some time and the mercs have a contract to fulfill.
Dogs of War is not an unfavorable term. This is what the great Ghengis Khan called his four Generals of his Army. Sabudai being the greatest of these, he came very close to defeating all of Europe after the death of Ghengis Khan. As fortune would have it, the Great General was called back because the current Khan (whose name escapes me) of that time died and ALL Mongols had to return to choose a new Khan. So Europe was spared. BTW, he had already defeated Europes best, the Tuetonic Knights, in Hungary.
The Dogs of War should be mention not in a manner reserved for other less favorable types of personalities but rather with repect for their great accomplishments on the field of battle. Stellar Products and Quality Resources ticker: SPQR established 6-03 |

Let me understand this...People should be afraid to use the name they used in another game because some antisocial psycopathic individual may come after them for purely personal reasons? Let me spell it out...t-h-i-s i-s a g-a-m-e. If someone is that disturbed by what happens in a game they need to be doing something else like weaving baskets. 60M contract?
Peanuts, really, when you consider that barely covers the cost of replacing 2 fully insured battleships.

Darth, as a fan of Celest let me assure you that is not my intent. Quite honestly, why do you care, hon? We didn't start this thread and the attention it's getting is odd to say the least. It's a job. Let Freedom Fighters deal with it.
Originally by: Joshua Calvert 60M contract?

Agreed, Josh. It's a small contract compared to a couple other offers we have on the table and plan to pursue in the near future, but it keeps us busy. That's it.
Once again: Has this thread gone to three pages simply because they happen to be a former E&B corp? Why should that matter so much? Also, some of thier members are not as new as they might have you believe, but that too is beside the point.
The bottom line is that someone wanted to put the hurt on this corp. They contacted us, information was exchanged, an offer made, negotiated and finally accepted. I cannot go into more detail except to say that when the contract is done it will be done.
I simply find it extraordinary how much interest this little war has generated. Wars happen every day in EVE. It's not the first time a corp has done this, nor will it be the last.
I'm done here. See you all in game. -

I don't really get that part. They are new, so their clones are cheap, they can easily train to use missiles and get frigates, even if that wont win the war they can cause a lot of damage, definately worth more than 60 million if you have battleships.

1.) Creat an alt. 2.) Have alt join corp to keep it active. 3.) Creat another corp and have everyone leave current corp and join it or go back to starter corp. 4.) Enjoy playing eve for several months. 5.) At the end of that time see how much Body count is willing to pay you to release their war slot.
Not only is your problem solved but ya make some money out of it.

Our current stance is not to give in.
Yes we are new to the game but that doesn't mean we should be push overs.
We wont mind losing 60 mill of isk (A big sum for our Corp) in frigates and equipment. We have lost maybe 3 mill worth of isk (max) and they have lost an Elite interceptor (Crow I think) which sells for 6-9 mill ?
If our tactics hold out it'll be costly for both of us, but hey, its not us who started it
Got to love the Eve comminity .. Thx for all your supports.
And to Body Count : We have no grudge against you, you are role playing your Corp. The only thing I hate in the end is not knowing who hired you to do this

We would love to go after him BadIronTree, but he has chosen not to reveal himself, instead hiring a merccorps to do his bidding..
As we carefulyl point out, we have no grudge against BDCI themselves, they have behaved honestly towards us, well as honorably as you can when declaring war :) But we know it's not personal for BDCI.
I've told my guys to try to keep it cool even if they get their ships shot out under them and not resort to yelling and namecalling in public
In EnB we had a rep for being about fridndlyness helpfullness and integrity.. Yes there were situations, ofcourse there were.. And it seems something has come back to haunt us, and if we knew what, we would atleast have a chance at figuring out an appropriate response..
For now though, it's war, and we will do our best and take it as a leraning experience.. In this i refer to our Warleader Spacehulk.. If as he say, we have downed an interceptor, then I can only say, good job guys :) and ouch to BDCI ..
and no, you're not gonna shoot our BS'es.. mainly due to the fact we dont have any.. we have a lot of frigates, a bunch of cruisers and indys.. and more shuttles than.. well no.. everybody who does agentwork has lots of shuttles or a lot of minerals lol..
We're not rich.. oh i know, most anybody will never call themselves rich, but for us, a newish corp, the 60M upfront was too much, that and the fact that several of our members felt it was in essence blackmail.. not by BDCI as such, but we felt that if we paid up, that would send a message that we were a pushover corp, and perhaps make others turn to us for shakedown money.. We didnt like that..
Our goal righ now is to draw this out till BDCI tires of it and tel their employer to go jump in a lake.. And hopefully at some time we will find out who that is... At that time we will establish a suitable response.. Perhaps a Bene Gesserit style 'lesson'
Thankyou to those who have wished us well in this.. ****oo to those who havent.. and salutes to BDCI for their conduct so far

See my previous replies. Let me spell it out: We've already been paid for the war. The 60 mil termination fee was not set by us. Once the terms of our contract are met, the war will be retracted. Simple as that.

Latex got her Rifter (about 250k with equipment & ammo) stuck on a station because she forgot to watch where she was going and got gangbanged. Good job taking advantage of that, BTW.

In response to this and to everyone else who for some reason seems to want to keep this thread alive: Freedom Fighters do not need your help. Our interactions with thier members thus far have actually been rather entertaining.
Example: Thier pilots met us head on in one system last night and not one cried about the outcome. That hardly seems like the actions of n00bs. In fact, their maturity level outshines many people who have been in the game much longer. No death threats or cursing, etc...

There is a difference between being a noob in a new game compared to being a noob to an online game.

As far as to when it comes to the fact the war is over when its over thats a bit vague. You have your agenda and we have none. At the end of the day it comes down to what your goal is. What loses are acceptable to you since as a corp we have accepted any possible loss which we have come to be, maybe 60 frigates to cover the 60 mill and the outfits we use and what else ...
And just as a sideline note, why is Body Count conserned about this thread, it originally was posted in "disgust" about someone who remains unknown to us and has brought a vendetta over from another game. If he had enough isk to cover your expenses then thats more than what we got which comes to the fact that this person is better established than us as a Corp.
I only wonder if his Corp mates know about this
