Drakes are overpowered. The passively tanked Drakes have a recharge rate that is completely ridiculous. It can easily tank 2 battleships and a CS at the same time. It's just lame.
The Slave-tanked faction BS's are out of line. We encountered a Machariel with dual Corpum A-type LARs. We had 2 BCs, a CS and random support and we barely scratched it.
The same problem with Crystal set faction/officer tanked CNRs.
This must stop. The game mechanics are shot. Bring out the nerf bat CCP.

If you can't beat the tank, bring more, bigger guns.

Passive tank Drakes have pitiful DPS. There is a tradeoff.
Slave/Crystal sets cost a metric crap ton of ISK. Same as officer modules. Officer fit BS's SHOULD be hard to kill. Otherwise, why spend billions on them if you can only get a marginal increase in effectiveness out of them?

1) The drakes redicolous tank is well known, but surely it can be broken with alot of volley damage so you bump it under its peek.
2) The machariel is probably the coolest ship in the game (imo), and if it has corpum gear and equivalent, what do you expect? It is suppose to be powerful if you pay that much for a ship! :) Btw, try giving him 6 neuts, and see what happens...

This!
Snake sets also cost zillions of ISK and Faction fitted HACs and recon ships should be hard to catch! Let's call it a tradeoff.

No, it can't, and even if it could, it's still no threat to you whatsoever. That really isn't the kind of Drake that you should be worried about.

But not only are they just "hard to catch", they're also damn hard to kill. Plus can still deal lots of dps in some cases of nanofaggery (ishtar, sac, etc.). Don't necessarily need faction or even snakes to pull it off either.

Well we often talk about Isk vs. Reward in this game, so let's say that the Huginn has roughly a 50% chance of dropping a Domination webifier and/or a Domination 10MN MWD (both trading in 150-175 mill range) get the Disruptor too, then you are looking at approx 300-350 mill in loot + the fact that you killed an expensive ship. I'd say you could finance a gang of 25 inty's at that price. Will that be enough for you?

I agree with the OP. And I am not being funny.
When mythic loot was introduced I was happy, but when combined with the MMO player's ability to find emergent gameplay the mythic loot has introduced some serious balance issues.
Its just as well that it is so expensive.

You're still throwing 25 people out to catch 1 person. I would only see that kind of situation not being ridiculous when the 1 person is in a cap ship, not a cruiser.

I understand your point dear friend, but with all the Isk vs. Reward talk in this game it would only seem fair that heavy spending gives you the upper hand (bit like the US army). You could also spend 5x the amount on each ship and then bring only 5 people, but in the end the guys with the high-tech guns and tanks always beat the horde with AK-47's. It's really very simple.

The Drake's tank is a feature of the ship.
Unlike a Battleship which can be set up to go as fast as a Cruiser by adding mods and rigs.
Translation: OP is a massive blob of fail sauce.

What about risk vs reward? With nano the risk part pretty much goes out the window because you have your 3-12 km/s get out of jail free card included with your ubertank.
Quote: Unless off course they get ambushed? Have you tried that approach? Maybe if you spent some time setting up your attacks and planning what tactics to use you could win? Warping in 5 drakes just isn't going to do it everytime.
The nano gang could pretty much just warp in, but unlike other ships which will be forced to commit to the fight once they engage, the nanos simply turn around and run off.

what are you smoking? the Ishtar does less dps then a t1 thorax. And the sac fires hams, which although tough, they do nothing to a properly tanked bs and cost 3x as much. __________________________________________________ |

Unlike a thorax, a nano ishtar isn't a suicide ship. As for the sac, I don't see why one cruiser should be always able to solo one battleship, plus what is the battleship going to be able to do to the sac?

How can you say my argument isn't valid? How can you argue that the drake isn't suppose to have a tough tank and was intended by CCP to be that way? {which is what i stated}

First of all you state that a BC can't go as fast as a BS. This is obviously not true. Have you tryed and of the other BCs or have you tried a MWD on your Drake? Maybe a disruptor? Or a web? I've seen several of these setups. 2 LSE's and MWD+WEB+SCRAM. They can be very deadly to nanoships as it isn't what you expect from Drake-noobs.
And the fail sauce-remark is just childish.
