I'm relatively new to Eve so I can't go back 5 years listing all the best alliances, but from talking to others in the game it appears that Pure PvP alliances come and go alot. Right now I'd guess there was a opening for a new PvP Alliance.
We've seen MC and TRI collapse from inside and INSURG putting up an epic fight before finally going down. Phalanx seem to have drifted off so who does this leave.
Well I think we'd have to count BOB and AAA as established PvP Alliance, PL seems to be doing well too with the new CI as a possible future contender. There is the ever present KIA and Daisho still to decide their way and a multitude of ex-MC TRI INSURG corps as yet uncommited.
Then we have the Corps like eXceed, Outbreak etc.
So which Alliance do people think will be the replacement for TRI and Insurg because EVE surely needs one.
ps. If I've missed your Alliance don't take if personally it's just a reflection of my lack of knowledge.

To be honest, i think Roadkill is an alliance to watch at the moment. After my brief time in them i can honestly say their not like alot of other alliances, their friends, their comrades and after all the flab has left them (which i believe it has) they will be stronger for it... This might be one of those alliances that gets stronger for losing territory.... but as always, eve changes so dont quote me on it

to be fair, while smash lost three fourths of its pilots RK has barely lost one fifth, and they did get hit harder, so yeah, for what it's worth they're a lot better than SMASH

hmm...I knew I forgot to post something!
Ah, the new CI originally formed up as A-War, SPA and CORA to pirate in the geminate area.
Then O**** joined and we're like k.
Then we're all like lets go to fountain and *****bruce and we're like k.
Then we *****bruce and suddenly its like "why we haev stations???" and we're like k.
And then daisho and axe make a pitiful invasion attempt and we're like k we can stay and fight some more.
Then it's like, where'd all the enemies go?!?!?!
And we're all like not k cuz we ran out of enemies, and now the alliance is disbanded and we've all gone back to separate things.
It began to make camping low sec easier with better standings  **** just kinda happened.

eXceed are one of the most quietly under rated corps in the game tbh. They aren't industrialists at all either, maybe like...2 years ago they were.

If Outbreak, Shinra and Beachboys merged to one alliance ... that would be a truely uber pvp alliance ... theyd have good numbers of great pvpers and possibly 3 or 4 of the top 10 Fc's in eve(certainly 2 of the top 5) , offcourse this is a big IF !!!

The trouble is there really isn't such a thing as a PvP alliance anymore. With the advent of capitals and POS warfare it is really a matter of which alliances are the best at logistics while still kicking ass in PvP. This is where MC excelled and where alliances like tri, insurgency and outbreak suck.
Add to that the massive distinction these days in PvP for fun and PvP for conquest and you also throw a spanner into the mix. Roving nanogangs will only win you space against the most terrible of opponents and an alliance based around this often has trouble when switching to the bs gangs that are sometimes needed to get things done.
All this said I think The Requiem have a good chance. Very few people in eve know POS warfare like BDCI and as far as logistics and industrial backbone go they will be an asset. They have some obvious talent in DOOM and CELES and that is mixed with a very respectable capital fleet. Despite their recent setback I think that if they can hold together as a unit they will do well, this however is a big IF.
One of the many difficulties they face at the moment is the lack of choices in allies, and in today's eve you need allies. Operating with supercaps without the required backup is a risky business. This said, where to go for friends? BoB will be hesitant to leave its stronghold for the foreseeable future and RAGOONS are not going to let a future potential opponent flourish within their ranks. That only leaves the NNC and that is hardly a solid group of friends for any new entity.
I think Eve exemplifies the saying "cometh the time, cometh the man" as far as PvP alliances go. Alliances are built in a climate and at the moment a climate conducive to a new superpower just isn't there.

Don't get me wrong. i am on the side they shoot at it seems.
BUT credit where credits due they have for the past 2 weeks spanked GS and TCF around c9n.
I think they are currently the closest you will get to the next elite pvp alliance.
Game mechanics now make it very hard for even the most tactically savvy corp or alliance to more than 2v1 and hope for a clean ish win..
Nanos and recons have removed a lot of the skill from timing a attack, positioning in system. Ect ect. And the Hics have sealed capitals and super caps off to battle where they are supported well.
Eve no longer is the same game where my Cruel intentions brought down big blue or Mc could of taken on bob.
But for now SE have my vote. sad as it is.

to fly nano ship you need to have player skils.
and oh btw mc never had power to take on bob:P

I disagree. Nanos are just more survivable not because of their tank or speed, but because they allow to retreat when outnumbered/outgunned.
In any case, you need "skills" to fly pretty much every ship in the game, nanos are just SP intensive but not that hard to fly. And don't complain about the "blob" if you go around and gank, no one gives fair fights in this game

cippa i.e for fleet you dont need any real skills.i can tell cos i tried everthing.every careber can be part of 100 man fleet and f1 f2 f3 on called name.in small warfare lets say 10vs10 youll be called primary few times need to watch out for neuts webs also meantime to be in your optimal.when you see that you are going down guess right momemnt when to start bailing and other stuff so its not quite the same.
and btw i dont just go around gank 10 vs 1 everyone when i found similar gang like mine i dont run.you can check on kb last few engangments like 13vs19; 18vs22 and simlar...

In fact, I hope they beat us because that will mean that we can start upping the ante and start playing on higher levels.
I was actually hoping that EVE would become big in Korea and we'd see an influx of hardcore alliances from there. Alas, it was not meant to be.
We'll be rattling everyone's cages until they appear.

There is no such thing as ELITE PVP alliances atm,
good ones, yes, Snig, RA, TRI, X13, other corps like CELES or MDK, the rest pretty much overrated corps and alliances.
Now alliances like the ones of old that you hear about, hmm probably we won't see stuff like that for a very long time ( and how i wish one of those appeared ) .

So which Alliance do people think will be the replacement for TRI and Insurg because EVE surely needs one.

I am doubtful there will be a "new" elite pvp alliance anytime in the near future. With the games maturity chances are a new alliance from prior friends may rise and fall, but at this point does it really matter? Eve as of late is more of a "Red vs. Blue - Internet Spaceships" with a horrible case of the blues.
Hopefully with sovereignty chances on the horizon the sov mechanic changes may change the experience, but at this point it's doubtful to say the least.

Actually, Iron and the whole of NC could only win battles if Iron/NC use Capitals, Super capitals and a full BS fleet under a cynojammer and the enemy does not use anthing bigger thana battleship. In otherwords, they win fights only if the other side ties their hands behind their back.
But when they do fight on same terms, they end up getting... "pwned" as you say.
